Guests can search for a property by destination or keyword on the website or smartphone app. The search results can be filtered by price, bedrooms, property type or features such as pool, AC, Internet, parking, TV, or others. The listings provide detailed description of the property, number of rooms, leisure activities, attractions, reviews and high quality images.
Booking can be confirmed using Visa, MasterCard or Discover cards. Guests have the option to contact the owner directly for any queries. Property owners have 24 hours to respond to all booking requests. If you are unhappy with your booking, you can contact the property owner or manager and request for cancellation. The amount will be refunded to the account holder directly. Check the cancellation and refund policies before confirming a property.

It states no booking fees yet when I tried to book a reservation they all had booking fees by the owners one listing i looked at was for 4 night and it came to $459 but the owners fees where $259 on top of that . I do remember a day not so long ago that everything was included in price advertised that’s why everyone was using VRBO to get around all the big rental companies fee now you can rent from those companies for less now. These fees are going to kill VRBO.
I have spent over 5 hours trying to cancel a reservation with misleading information. Chains and four wheel vehicle needed in the snow. I don’t expect snow on the first weekend in June. When I spoke with the first native English speaking representative, she noted that the website had been changed since I first booked the home. When I spoke with the second native English speaking representative (I been disconnected more than 4 times), she said that the rental agreement stated four wheel vehicle. I still have not gotten my reservation cancelled: damage deposit or cleaning fees refunded.
I am away traveling in Central America and have had someone try to book my place. I am unable to respond to them on the Home Away platform because of the two step authentication process – it is not coming through as a SMS and I have not received the call. I have spent many hours on this now. It looks like I have not responded to this booking but I have tried everything I can to do so. There is nowhere on the website to send an email and the only place I was able to contact Home Away on was the “Do you like our website” form (which I did hoping to get through to a person who could help).
This is frustrating for me as an owner. I have an excellent record of responding to customers and it is highly frustrating having no way to make contact by email.
Please help me. I am a property owner, VRBO #269673 and was told I need to sign up for Home Away Payments to renew my 10 year old listing. I tried twice and got error messages. I called the Number I was told to for VAcation Rent Payments – I have four times been sent by VRP people back to HomeAway, and three times sent by HomeAway people back to VRP. The last ones had me send a screen shot of the error message to VRP for them to investigate and Ibrahim atVRP answered to again tell me to go back to HomeAway! I don’t know what to do – and HomeAway is the one telling me I need to do this to renew my listing that was working fine without it! Yet they can’t tell me how to fix this problem. Please help me resolve this!

Need your help to resolve an escalation issue that we have been dealing with for 3 weeks. This trip was booked and paid in full since October of 2017. Airline tickets purchased, several case numbers have been assigned, promises from your employees have been made and our trip is on Friday, March 16th and they are still promising us (4 adults, traveling from 2 different states) not to worry they’re going to take care of us.
