Frontier Airlines is one of the most reputed airlines in the United States. Founded in 1994, it is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Frontier Airlines is the eighth largest airline in the US and operates its flights to almost 100 destinations. Along with the domestic flights, it flies passengers to over 30 international destinations. Its primary hub is at the Denver International Airport. One of the most family-friendly airlines in the United States, preferential boarding is provided to the families and items such as diaper bags, car seats, or diaper bags are allowed to be checked in, without any additional cost. With 102 flights under its banner, the airline is deemed as the ultra-low-cost airline. It aims at making air travel accessible and affordable for masses of all classes.
Baggage Info
While traveling via Frontier, one has to ensure that the baggage falls under certain specifications. The carry-on bag needs to be 10-inch-deep, 16-inch-wide, and 24 inches in height. Additionally, the weight cannot exceed 35 lbs. or around 15.8 kg. The checked-in bag, however, needs to be 62 inches collectively (length + breadth + height). The weight of your check-in cannot exceed 50 lbs. or 22.6 kgs. All personal items like purses or handbags need to fall under the prescribed dimensions. These personal items have to be less than 8 inches deep, 18 inches wide, and 14 inch in height. The airline makes it mandatory for all of its guests to arrive no later than 45 minutes if traveling domestic. If traveling international, the guests need to arrive 60 minutes before departure.Â
It must be noted that the baggage that goes over the prescribed weight limit will be allowed only after paying $75 for exceeding weight and an additional $75 for surpassing the linear inch limit. However, if the weight does exceed 100 lbs., it won’t be allowed to be checked in. The same is the case with bags that exceed the linear limit of 110 inches. As far as the items such as diaper bags, strollers, or car seats are concerned, these items will be allowed without paying any additional check-in fee.  Â
If the baggage does not arrive at the destination, Frontier airline advises its customers to report the incident before you leave the airport. The lost baggage claims are to be submitted to the central baggage office 4 hours after your flight’s arrival. However, if your bag is damaged, you will be required to claim it within four hours of arriving at the destination. Please note that wear and tear or small cuts and scrapes cannot be claimed. If at all the bag is overstuffed, the claim will not be entertained.Â
I honestly like this company. I work in the airline business and they were a airline that I tried to make all request perfect for yet here I am on vacation with no luggage. I did a claim and someone was suppose to call me within 24 hrs. I never received my call. I’m on my way back from my vacation and still no bag, no answer just nothing, my car keys is in my bag, my car is stuck at the airport. I’ve tried calling around the world still no help and nothing from frontier. I’m so done with this airline in every way.
Exact same thing here. Customer service sucks and they don’t respond. I think they outsource the customer service and the representatives don’t understand what you are explaining. I had to explain over and over and over…to finally have no satisfaction.
Frontier Airlines lost my checked suitcase with hundreds of dollars worth of clothes, medication etc. It’s been 2 days in a strange city with no clothes. No one has contacted me from the airlines. I filed a claim within 2 hours. We flew here to buy a house and I had no money to go buy clothes or toiletries. It has been a nightmare that I can’t wake up from. Ruined our entire trip and it’s not over yet. I won’t give up though until it’s resolved.
Worst airlines ever, i will never fly with them again. They lost my bags and wont respond when needed. Terrible customer support. You can only text and they dont answer the texts.
This company has cheap flights with poor customer service. I guess you get what you pay for. You can’t get in touch with a live representative, everything is through texting online unless it’s time for them take your money. I flew from Atlanta to Jamaica, my luggage never made it. You file a claim and due to poor customer service, no one ever reaches out to you to follow up with your claim. I’ll never fly Frontier Airlines ever again.
Having the exact same experience with frontier who lost my sons bag on his way from Philadelphia to Tampa. No one answers the chat no one answers emails and no one answers the phone for days. I also will not allow him to fly this airline anymore
My suitcase was never put on my flight on November 5th from tampa to Atlanta. I spoke with frontier baggage people in Atlanta abd tampa. At one point in time they’d identified my suitcase in tampa. Then they sent it to Atlanta when I was on the way back to tampa. A claim was filed. I wa told they’d fly my suitcase back to tampa right away and deliver it to my house. This never happened. No one answers the phone or responds to me in any way (not phone, chat, not email) This sucks . It’s pretty lame. Not ever recommending this airline.
