An unprofessional institution I have come across. First they overcharge you with credit shield etc. They you end up paying interest. Finally when you cancel the card and think it’s over. They refuse to give you a clearance letter. It’s been 5 months now that I have been asking for a clearance letter. Every time I request for it they close the ticket saying clearance is issued. However they never issue the letter neither by mail not by post.
All messed up. No Professionalism.More often than not, the charges are absolutely willful on their part, sans consent of the customer.
I made a payment of 11,400 in one go toward my total outstanding of 11,380 appox. but when I checked the Mobile app, it showed up 597 AED outstanding. However, moved with the shock, I further browsed in card details tab, where it shows No Payment due. Why?
The answer is still a mystery unveiled. Incomprehensible Tactics of public dealing. Furthermore, the institution which claims to one of the top financial institutions in the UAE, doesn’t even operate a Toll free number.
Sir I have tried to contact you regarding a cheque that was held by police, I was arrested when leaving the country and went to court and paid a fine for a 35,000 dhs cheque. I was not aware of any outstanding amount and certainly not this full amount. The court charged me with a fine which has been paid and I was informed by them and the Police case has been closed. My previous mobile number in 2014 was 050 6281953. Please can you advise on this matter.
I am waiting for a call from Dubai first in order to replan my payments. I had submitted all the documents requested but the person is on Vacation, I called back many time and it’s not answering. One guy answered (kind of his name Bala) and said will call back. What’s going on. If one person gone for emergency leave can’t another one take their responsibility. Don’t consider everyone as rich as you may have many clients. I had already faced many disappointment with Dubai first. I just wanna finish my commitments I wasnt infact aware about and live a peaceful life.
Please save your customer.
H,
I requested a liability letter but until now there’s no update. I called the customer service and they said after 15 working days. it is already 16 working days then until now I haven’t received any call from them. Please update me the status as I need it urgently.
Hi. As you may know, I have a pending-not yet claimed Credit card due to I’m currently here in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but I’ll be back in Dubai on 20th-24th September 2018. With this, can you advise how can I claim it? Thanks.
I would like to raise my concern regarding Dubai First’s practice of activating products without rightful authorization from its customers, and repeatedly charging us for the same, despite repeated requests to opt out of the service.
I was informed that the insurance charges were pre-enrolled on my account and this was part of the bank’s ‘vague’ terms and conditions. This is an unfair practice, as it was not clearly mentioned on the application form and neither was explained by the sales person. Later, I received a call from another representative, who unsuccessfully spent about 20 minutes explaining to me the ‘good and useful features’ of the credit shield and accident insurance. Unmoved by his explanations, I still opted out of the service, and eventually, I was told that the credit shield and accident insurance fees would not be reversed.
I again contacted the call centre and after numerous attempts, managed to speak to a representative. The representative informed me that there was no request for the cancellation of the credit shield insurance reflected in the system. He informed that he could not cancel the insurance and also refused to reverse the charges, since the charges, once billed, could not be reversed, even if they were wrongly charged to us.
Dubai First is expected to follow a certain code of conduct. Transparency and the need for customers to be informed in a clear way should be a priority. The bank must treat its customers fairly. In this situation, the bank failed to exercise these values and kept charging the wrong fee and willing to loose customer just for little amount.
Hard time requesting for clearance statement/ letter.
Its almost 2 months, I have not received my clearance letter in my email. I called Dubai First and they said it was sent yesterday. I answered that I did not receive any. They responded that they will send again within 3 working days.
No sense of urgency at all. I need the letter the soonest because Im leaving the country.
