I am writing from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. For the past three years(or more) there has been no hotel lighted sign. It looks like the place is closed! I have referred friends from out of town who have called saying they can’t find it or that it was closed or maybe out of business. They end up staying at the Days Inn across the road. The same happened to me and my family when we were in transition during a move from Ontario. We drove by and all exterior lights were out.
I complained to staff who stated that the owner lived in Alberta and didn’t care. Is this not of concern? Competition is sharp and you clearly have no edge in that regard.
We booked a room at the Comfort Inn in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. There was a strong odor of marijuana smoke in the hallway. One of the rooms we booked was two double beds rather than two queen beds. There were tools on one of the beds and the air conditioner had been taken apart and left as is. The cot that was given was not set up and the sheets on it were not clean. The room was dated, the couch stained and the bathroom still had used soap and hair pins on the counter. There was a pair of dirty socks at the bottom of the bed, so the sheets clearly hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests. We left. It was about 1:00 am. The night clerk didn’t seem to care at all about any of our complaints. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay there.
It appears obvious that the Head Office for Comfort Inn is doing nothing about companies that continue to charge in U.S. dollars even though the reservation is made in Ontario for a Comfort Inn in Quebec. We attempted to cancel with the Comfort Inn in Quebec but they advised they were not able to cancel the reservation- not sure why.
Will not have any more to do with Comfort Inn
We recently stayed in a Quebec (Montreal) Canada Comfort Inn which was perfect in every way, fully renovated, beautiful, great service and excellent breakfast.
Unfortunately I had made reservation on line, first time, so went through Getaroom without knowing that we should have goen to Comfort Inn on line. Got a good price from Getaroom, but eventhough their confirmation did not say it was US FUNDS my credit card showed the price adjusted fom US to Cdn. fund and more. So it cost a great deal more and it’s a SCAM, I have pages and pages of back & forth emails trying to fix it, but they finally produced a confirmation in US but it was printed 6 days after I booked in and 2 days after we stayed at the Comfort Inn. Total SCAM, I learned my lesson however want to let you know about it, I advised the Motel management and they said they would let head office know. Thank you, Huguette Houle
I made a reservation and stayed @ Comfort Inn and Suites in Napoleon, OH on 1/14/17. The hotel would not honor the online site for this hotel. When we arrived, we asked the front desk person and she said it probably a 2nd party. We showed her the site, she even verified it was her phone #; she phoned management, they said they don’t believe it!!!
Dear Choice Hotel Customer Service. Just let me say 1st off that my phone is on the fritz and not working properly so that is why I have not called. I have been trying for 2 days now to redeem some promo. points. I also have been trying to find and email address for you since I can’t call…the links that you have on line (and I have tried all of them) open up an email but have no email address attached. Pretty hard to send without one!
Here’s the issue……
I thought that I had until tonight 9/30/16 to redeem points from the One Stay, Two Stays. Spend It Your Way promo for travel between May 12th and August 18th. I did redeem 3 $50.00 gift cards last night and was 553 points away from the 4th and I was prompted to buy points if I’d like. I did, but it said could take 24 hrs. to show up (it didn’t take that long) I tried last night and tonight but still have been unable to get another gift card using the promo. Is it because I purchased points? If so than that option should have never been available under the promo.
My member number is EXJ29390
Thanks
We stayed at Confort Inn in Newport News Virginia Aug 6-7 room 133. The bed was completely collapsed on one side so that the bed was slanted and unable to use. The was another full bed in the room my husband and I uncomfortably shared. There was toothpaste all over the bathroom faucet underneath visible when you were sitting on the toilet and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months! Both beds had a brown bed skirt which had a ton of white crusty material on them which I will not say what I think it was on here. Absolutely disgusting musty, mildew, smoke smell in the room. I didn’t want to get into the bed. We moved to a beautiful Hilton hotel the remainder of our stay. Wished I can get my money back!
We stayed in the Comfort Inn located in Muskogee, Oklahoma last Friday, March 29th. The hotel room did not have a security latch, the baseboard was coming apart in many places, there were holes, it was in much need of repair. It was horrible. I called the front desk and told them there wasn’t a security latch and they said ” sometimes people pull them off, but we haven’t been told that room doesn’t have one”. I did not like sleeping in a room without a security latch.
I will never stay at another Comfort Inn!
This motel met all our needs when we evacuated from hurricaine Issac. The breakfast had fresh made waffles, biscuits and gravy, boiled eggs, yogurt, scrambled eggssweet rolls etc. Amenities included e/thing.Was clean, howevercould use some deep cleaning.Baseboards, corners(few cobwebs)Bathroom grout & paint.Staff was helpful and friendly until check-out time. The manager insisted we only get AARP discount for one night. AARP rates are always for the entire stay. She argued with me,never made any adjustment and said “go ahead and contact the customer service”.I plan to. The argument was loud and embarrassing. Stay was decent and pet friendly.
