About Chongqing Metro
Chongqing Metro is a rapid transit system serving Chongqing in China. It began operations in the year 2005. Also known as Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT), it is one of the oldest metro systems in China. It currently operates four lines, connecting to 120 stations. Annually, the metro transports close to 630 million commuters.
The Chongqing Metro lines consist of Line 1 (Xiaoshizi – Jiandingpo), Line 2 (Jiaochangkou – Yudong), Line 3 (Yudong – Jiangbei Airport), Line 6 (Chayuan – Beibei / Lijia – Yuelai). As for fares, you have single fare tickets and day passes. Commuters can also use Chongqing Universal Card for loading multiple fares.
