About Bukit Jalil National Stadium
Bukit Jalil National Stadium is a Malaysian sports stadium opened in the year 1996. It is listed as one of the 15 largest stadiums in the world, with state-of-the-art-facilities and impressive features. Located in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, the stadium can accommodate 110,000 visitors. Managed by the National Sports Complex, the stadium remains the home of Malaysia’s national football team.
The oval-shaped stadium has been used not just for football matches, but also to host concerts, exhibitions and special events. For disabled, they have a special seating area and those from press will be surprised by the cutting edge facilities. The spotlight lighting system is also suitable for TV coverage and there are two units of matrix video board points.
Besides the National Stadium, the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex also houses a multi-purpose indoor stadium (Putra Stadium), hockey stadium, aquatic centre and a squash centre.
