I’ve been riding bart for many years and I’ve been generally pleased with the service. However, I’ve noticed a huge number of people not paying their fares and I can’t understand why Bart is not solving the problem. I often ride from El Cerrito Plaza to downtown Berkeley BART, and many people, who do not seem poor, jump the gates. Install higher gates? I’ve also noticed very often that people are Bringing their pets on bart and they’re definitely not service dogs.
