Bmo is the most frustrating bank to deal with. I have sat on hold for hours and hours only to be told that I need to go in to a branch in order to get my account straightened up. I live in rural Saskatchewan and do not drive, so I don’t have access to a branch for months at a time. Until someone drives me to a city centre I can’t fix the issue. The previous week when the issue first happened I was told that my account was in good standing but clearly it wasn’t as I have another email saying my credit card was declined. They have my account number, my name, my birthdate, info about my account, phone numbers and more, yet I need to physically step into a branch in order to fix this.
I’m so frustrated that I’m unable to get in touch with anyone from customer service. I need help and I can’t get through to talk with anyone about my credit card and online banking. I can’t wait 3-4 hours on the phone.
