Azul Brazilian Airlines is a Brazilian airline that began operations in the year 2008. With its main hubs at Campinas-Viracopos, Belo Horizonte-Confins and Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont, the airline flies to over 190 destinations within Brazil. In 2014 alone, Azul served some 21 million passengers. It currently has a modern fleet of close to 140 aircrafts. Also, the airline for the fourth time in a row was named the best low cost carrier in Latin America in 2014.

With a large network of cities served, in 2012, Azul and Trip announced their merger to become the third largest airline. Together they operate over 800 daily flights. The important cities served include Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Brazilia, Recife, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Manaus, Belem, among others. With partner airlines, you can also fly to destinations in US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa and Asia.

The booking of a ticket can be done directly on the Azul website through debit/credit card or at any nearest partner store. Fliers can simply login on the website to modify or make changes to the booking. If you dint know, you can also check-in on the website, in addition to doing the same at the airport counter. Flight status and schedule can be further accessed on the website. As for baggage, for international flights, Azul allows up to 32kg checked baggage. A carry on bag of 5 kg is also allowed. Additional bags can be carried by meeting the baggage charges. If you are a member of the frequent flier programme ‘TudoAzul’, you might enjoy some of the benefits, that include baggage, meal and others. Under TudoAzul, there is TudoAzul Plus and Sapphire. Both the programs offer benefits of their own.

As for refreshment, fliers enjoy snacks and drinks for free. Further, the advanced in-flight entertainment promises live TV with 48 channels or more. Azul boasts of being the first airline in Latin America to offer live TV during a flight.
