About Aircalin
Aircalin (Air Calédonie International) is a French airline founded in the year 1983 and operating from its main hub at La Tontouta International Airport. Connecting people to and from New Caledonia, the airline from the capital Nouema operates some 22 international flights. The destinations covered include Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Port-Vila, Nadi, Wallis, Futuna and Papeete. Booking of tickets can be done directly on Aircalin website. You can also view the flight schedule, status and even do an online check-in. After a booking has been confirmed, fliers can login on the website to make changes to the itinerary. Two cabin classes found on the airline are Hibiscus and Economy. Hibiscus class passengers enjoy dedicated counters, extra baggage, lounge access, wide choice of meals, comfortable seats and rich inflight entertainment. My wife and I were scheduled to leave on SB 330 at 1pm on July 27/18 to Fiji. We arrived at the airport and were advised that the flight to Fiji had been cancelled due to ash clouds from Port Villa.also there were no re- scheduled flights. We therefore had to travel back to Nuomea and stay an extra night and then were redirected to Fiji via Brisbane the next day with a 9 hr. stop over in Brisbane ??
I later found out and confirmed that all other airlines started flying again at 10.20am on the same morning that your flight was cancelled. Therefore Aircalin cancelled our flight before the scheduled time of the flight.(1pm )
Why was this so and why didn’t you waite To see if flying was ok before your scheduled flight time of 1pm. Also why did you cancel before the scheduled flight time of 1pm.
You offered no compensation and to the 10 people on the flight. I could be sceptical and say that you cancelled due to the fact that there were only 10 people on through plan ?.
I intend to take this matter further and I can Arturo you that we will never fly with Aircalin again. I also intend to post this information on trip advisor as I AMA sick of airlines such a yours taking advantage of people.

I have to say that I received the worse customer service from your airline today in Japan Narita international airport. Japan is known for impeccable customer service but your employee AYA MARUMORI has no clue what being polite and respectful is. Not only that but when I asked for her name at the counter they lied to me and gave me the name of another person INOUE MAFUYU. Very disappointed with your airline.
