We have clients that could not travel due to lockdown in South Africa. The routing was BCN – PMI – BCN to travel in June 2020. We are unable to contact anyone via telephone or email.
Passenger was supposed to take the flight with YVYIQJ PNR number on 22.04.2021 from Bogota to Istanbul via Air Europa Airlines. (with a connected flight from Madrid to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines). At the counter where she wanted to give her luggage, she was asked to declare a return ticket and when she showed her return ticket to the company officer, they refused to take her on board because they could only see the PNR number on her return ticket but they could not see a ten digit ticket number. First of all, I do not understand why an airline company asks for a return ticket and I want to be enlightened on this issue because one might travel to a country with a one-way ticket and may decide where to go next in the destination country and buy her ticket accordingly. If there is an authority to question a return ticket, that should be the customs police officers in the country of arrival. Secondly, a PNR number should be enough to prove that a passenger has a return ticket. They also told the passenger that she should have printed out her return ticket and it was her fault not to have a printed ticket. I have travelled to dozens of countries in my life and never have I been asked for a return ticket by the airline company of departure country nor have I been asked to provide a printed ticket.
After flying more than 18 hours we were stopped at the gate to board our last leg to Malaga Airport. Told by gate agent that our ticket’s had a problem and we then were told to go to customer service with Air France. We missed our flight and weighted in line for nearly an hour before we were able to speak to someone. Told that our tickets had been cancelled due to no fault of ours. The agent then fixed the error and we were told it would be another 12 hours before we could catch another flight. We waited and shortly after midnight we landed in Malaga Spain. After debarking the plane we then were told that they had lost every single piece of our luggage. We missed the time frame for our rental and had to pay added fees to get a rental that time of night. We then spent the nearly 5 days without our luggage with AirEuropa telling us every day we would have our luggage by the next day. Again we had no proper foot wear and no clothes but for the ones on our backs. We had to miss a wedding and our birthday due to no clothes. We sat in our villa waiting for luggage that never came. The emails sent from Air Europa informed us they had located our luggage 2 days after landing in Malaga Spain. Air Europa agent informed us we could get what we needed basic necessities and had a small allowance of 100 Euros each. So did get just the basics and kept every recipe. We were told we would be getting the money back after providing the original receipts and upon filling out the proper paper work. We had spent additional money sending every thing Air Europa had asked for. After over 30 days we did receive in writing that we would be receiving the 200.00 compensation and to send them our bank info and other paper work so we did and again it took over 30 days to get a written response, telling us they received our paper work and it would be another 30 days before Air Europa would be paying the money. It has now been 52 days still no deposit of the money. We have now hired an attorney to deal with the issue. So when they could have just given what we had coming due to their mistakes we will be asking for all legal fees to be paid by Air Europa and seeking the proper amount of compensation due to my husband and myself. If you have a dispute with Air Europa you will need to take them to court. To help anyone seeking more info. There is a Face Book page that I found ( Air Europa) complaints. Also found on Air Europa’s face book site, Air Europa employees mocking customer’s who made complaints. This Air line is the worst I had ever flown.
On my way to Madrid I was told by the check-in receptionist that I was not allowed to take my carry on with me due too many people on the plane.
So claim my luggage (0 996 UX 569251) with no fee.
When landed at Madrid my carry on was lost! The airline “supposedly” looked for it and then claim that they never put my carry on bag on the plane. They offer to voncher the money I spent on purchasing new winter wear.
When I get the voncher of my purchase?
I need a response as soon as possible. Because I’m spending money due your mistake and I want this resolve or I will take this higher.

When I arrived at the BCN airport I was charged for my 2nd bag. The agent said I would receive a receipt for this charge through my email. I have not received this email and my credit card was charged more than $109.–. I cannot understand this charge. The flight was a connecting flight to MIA. PLEASE send my receipt plus the explanation for this charge. All other airlines do not charge for a second bag on an international flight. I would appreciate the receipt PLUS an explanation of charges
Thank you
To whom it may concern or not,
I am a second time flyer with your airline. First time was a great experience all around. We flew business class from Miami to Madrid,Spain.
We decided to return to Madrid, Spain again from Miami dates March 24,2017 to April 1,2017.
Here are some observations of our resent trip with Air Europa:
1 Business Class no longer available. I quess that’s a business decision to make more profit on more seats. Understand the logic of bean counters.
2 Boarding in Miami it loked like nobody knew how to board an airplane.
3 Flight there was great crew very attentive.
4 Return to Miami from Madrid was worse. One person would say one thing and another something else at gate. There were some people checking passport and ticket at gate with no organizational skills we were checked 2 or 3 time as well as holding the line to board the plane. I understand security it is of importance but this was a mess. It looked like nobody at the gate was organized. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
5 Once boarded and settled there was long delay 30 to 45 minutes with no explanation . On a long flight that adds to the misery. Flight crew were great.
6 After going through customs in Miami and going to pick up our bags and waiting a long time our bags plus 30 to 40 other bags were missing. Gave info to bag agent and was told our 2 bags would be DELIVERED to our home. Well I guess i was wrong and had to go get the bags at airport cause they were to busy or not enough personnel to deliver on a mistake you made. Should be glad bags were not dropped over Atlantic Ocean or sent to Alaska.
Used this info to or not to try to make someone else’s flight better.
I really expected better from Air Europa.
