Having spent a ridiculous time on an expensive international phone call I was finally able to cancel a flight and was assured that I would be refunded my money with a partial penalty. Having waited the full (and ridiculous) 8 weeks that I was told it might take, I still have not received my refund and customer care has not responded to my emails! I am horrified by this blatant disregard for me as a customer!
I was a regular customer of Bookings.com for booking of hotels before deciding to try out Expedia.com.sg recently.
My experience over their billing to my credit cards had been appalling. Not only that the amounts were incorrect, refunds were carried out in separate amounts to my credit cards instead of a full amount to every hotel booking.
To make matter worse, personnel working in the customer service department were unhelpful, unprofessional and immature in their response rendered to my queries. Their emailed responses suggested deliberate intentions to ignore the primary issue (query) and invoke frustrations through providing repetitive information about other matters. They were neither able to provide updates to the status of refunds or contact details to their senior management.
From this recent ordeal that I have encountered and still is, in the process of seeking a rectification for all the erroneous billings, I realised that http://www.bookings.com is really a wonderful site to continue my loyalty with.
Morale of my story (experience). We never realised the actual worth from the “normal and regular” experiences in our lives until we’re met with an unfamiliar crisis; for me, it was the disorganised credit card billings and horrendous aftersales “customer service” provided by Expedia.com.sg.
I booked ticket for my father on September 12th from HYD to Washington DC for round trip.
HYD –IAD was for 21hrs +
And the return flight was for 19+hrs
There was only 1-2 hours wait for connecting flights. I called the expedia and they confirmed the same. They also confirmed that flight would arrive Washington DC on 12th @5pm
Now I see that there is a wait time of 17hrs for a connecting flight. Including that the travel became 1 day 17hrs. Which means flight would arrive Washington DC on 13th @5pm.
I called expedia they put on hold for hours together and disconnected my call many times and never bothered to give me a call back. I spoke to at least 6-8 agents for about 5 hours.
I lady said I have to pay 5300Rs to change my ticket and said she can check with her manager what best she can do since I see tickets from HYD to MUM for less than 35$ and transferred my call to another supervisor and that supervisor names ‘ SEPTEMBER’ spoke to me for 2 mins and said she is reading the comments and disconnected my call and never called me back.
Called again multiple times some disconnected and now have 1 lady on call and she says I have pay 170$ which is almost the triple the amount to 5300Rs.
Thanks to expedia for such a wonderful customer experience. You guys rock. No one can beat you. Am never using expedia.
I was double billed for my ticket booked from Las Vegas to San Francico In October 2015. Several emails and calls made to infom. There was no action taken till today (after 9 mths). Demand immediate action!!!

I tried to call your numbers in China which are Elong numbers. They inform me they no longer partner with you. Since May. It is bad service not having changed the number to a number that works even though it was more than 3 months since the change. Elong can not help me with alternative phone numbers to reach Expedia. What number can I call from China. It is urgent!!!
Expedia operates a policy of bad practice. A flight/hotel combined price was offered by Expedia during the booking process and a booking was progressed based on the acceptance of that price. At the point of completion of the booking for the offered/accepted price, Expedia interrupted the booking procedure and jumped up the price by £148. On immediately checking the individual web sites for the hotel and the flights, the revised combined price now being offered by Expedia was found to be more expensive than than the sum of the parts. As such the claim made by Expedia that savings are made by booking a flight and a hotel together with Expedia is false in this case. This is sharp practice by Expedia and unreasonable. I have asked Expedia for a refund, so far without success and I am still awaiting responses to all my emails.
Booked a flight and hotel with these muppets to Berlin. Lufthansa cancelled the direct flights THREE MONTHS before departure and weren’t prepared to find an alternative flight.
Customer Service (what a joke) would not honour the contractual agreement, I.E flight + hotel and said I could not change carriers.
The only thing they said I could do is cancel the booking worth £600 and rebook, the refund would take upto FOUR months to process (b*llocks! If you can take money within seconds, you can refund it just as quickly).
Absolutely unacceptable.
I will NEVER use this pathetic excuse of a company again.
Do not even think of using Expedia – its been 3 months since we cancelled a $5000.00 trip to fiji due to medical reasons.

I have had the very nasty time dealing with these guys who charged my credit card for a total of $11,500 for a holiday 3 times that I did not book!! The customer service staff in deli don’t know what day it is and now dealing with Australia who are all confused!!! How will Expedia feel if a video and copy of the calls goes viral on Internet???? I’m about to try something because they are NOT listening or helping!! Worst company I have ever ever ever had to deal with!!!!
On 2nd august 2012 I made a booking for 4 nights at cravelle hotel, ho chi Minn Hotel.Ref no: 1252174103. Supposed to stay from 25th to 29th august. But the day of the travel she fell ill and could not travel. The hotel bills for 4 nights aready debited to my credit card. Spoke to the person in expedia malaysia for postponement of the stay. The reply is strictly NO and the amount is forfitted. Is this the way expedia deal with the customers. The hotel will normaly forfitted just one day as they can sell back the balance of the days/rooms to other guest. Expedia is making money out of this. So i suggest expedia to refund back my money thru my credit card. This is not fair and right. And i ve decided not to use expedia anymore as they are not reasonable.

In India they have employed improvised lousy staff who do not understand a thing, create confusion, do mistakes and in the end we as customers we have to bear the brunt. My friends warned me to be careful with this lousy company but still I tried my luck and had to dearly pay for it.
Dear folks! Beware of Expedia in all Sense!
Be warned. I made a typing error in booking flights. Their customer services advised me I had to cancel and rebook as flight wouldnt be guaranteed. Told would get full refund. Not correct. I am now suing Expedia but trying to get any response from them is like the proverbial blood and stone. I rebooked holiday through ebookers who are magnificent.
normally I book flights direct with airlines, this time I used Expedia, never again, dealing with the booking department was bad enough but then I needed to contact customer services and then the real nightmare began, last Saturday I spent an hour and five minutes on the phone with the call centre in bangalore, most of which was on hold because the person ‘dealing ‘ with my query was unable to understand or could not resolve my question, his answer was to put me on hold and leave me there, how do I know this? because I phoned the booking line on another phone whilst I was holding on the first phone and complained to a supervisor – another point if you are booking the phone is answered quickly, if you are after customer service there is what appears to be an obligatory 20 minutes on hold before you start- this was the same for two attempts to resolve my problem. Was my problem solved by Expedia -NO it was resolved by me phoning BA who resolved the whole issue within 15 Minutes. Guess how I will be booking my further flights.
Worst customer care experience with Expedia India. I have called customer care at least 10 times to reimburse the amount for unsuccessful transaction. I haven’t received the money back, not even a proper response from customer care. Its been more than month now.

I had already an approved transaction for a flight booked through Expedia. Expedia attempted 2 more transactions without my approval fraudulently and sends me a mail regarding declined transaction. The amount of fraudulent transactions by Expedia is INR 100,000 each. My itinerary reference # is 1034649238.

I just wanted to let you know that I had FANTASTIC service from Mahmoud Ahmed Hassan out of Egypt. He should be recognized as going beyond the call of duty in helping my family out of a bad situation due to a cancelled flight. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with his service.
