I am facing a problem from Bank of Baroda and it would be appreciated if you could advise me.
My father put my name and my childrens’ name as the nominee of few Fixed Deposits which is on his name.
Three months back my father expired and now I approached my Bank of Baroda branch to change the Fixed deposit in my name. Now Branch Manager is telling that I have to get the signature from brother mentioning that he doesn’t have any objection to change the said FD in my account.
Sir, then what is the intention of made my name as nominee? What benefit customer will get from the nominee option?
My father had Fixed Deposits in other banks mentioned my name as nominee. They did not tell anything like this.
I would be grateful to you if you kindly advise me on the above.

Sir, I have taken a Home loan from Bank of Baroda which is sanctioned in July,2017 and I want to get the benefit of PMAY Subsidy..But I have some doubt as:
1) How the income will be calculated?
2) In my Loan my brother is co-applicant, is it applicable?
3) Provide Complete guidelines of PMAY.

Re: customer services in Dubai Branch
I am ex staff of bank having worked with Dubai branch from 1977 to 2006. Since retired visited branch two months back and was surprised to see services rendered by branch officials which I have never experienced in my working for nearly thirty years.
My account with joint name of my son was freezed because of non operation, requested for activation and was asked to bring original passports. I could present my passport but my son was out of station he is regular traveler because of his work, however with great difficulty was able to convince operation manager to accept photo copy duly signed by my son. It was finally accepted so
I went for withdrawal of funds and introduced to cashier/teller that I am ex staff his reply was so rude. I am shocked at the next generation leading the customer service in the bank. And specially treating an ex-employee in a rude manner. I was also surprised to see Operation Manager treating other customers rudely and even sending them away to other banks for account opening.
