I am a life long Dodger Fan and a avid hat pin collector. I live in San Diego County and have been to 2 games this month(May 2022) alone. Imagine MY DISAPPOINTMENT when i went into the Dodger Team Store only to be told that the Dodger 2022 All star and 60th anniversary pins HAVE NOT YET BEEN RECEIVED. it IS a little late in the game not to have them in stock .
Why are the Dodgers keeping Bellinger for what reason? The guy obviously is not into the game.
Are you waiting for him to bring down his batting average to 100? I am sure there are plenty of out fielders given the opportunity that could bat much better than him. Yes I agree he is a good outfielder but I am sure you can find another good outfielder. How many times has he struck out when runners are on base and he was the 3rd out. Come on.
Even my granddaughter sees that something is not right with him. She commented on how he bats. She asked why does he stand like that , he doesn’t hit the ball?
Today was pathetic.
I love the Dodgers always have. I have never seen a player like Bellinger stay on as long as he has doing this poorly. Send him back down to regroup and see a psychologist for his batting. He just looks so sloppy.
Is he on drugs?
You sent Barns back down for a bit and he came back with a much better attitude.
Do something Dodgers come on now.
Hate to be critical but it grates on my ears to hear Charlie Steiner continually say, “There ‘is’ two out.” Obviously the word “two” is plural so when used with an intransitive verb, (a verb of being), that verb has to be plural as well. In other words, why the heck doesn’t he say “there ARE two out” or, better yet, “there are two outs”?!
I am wondering what the front office is thinking. All the fans hear is how they will be looking for pitching upgrades and so on and so forth. There have been multiple players available through free agency and the team seems happy ro just stay put. Are they saying that there are no players available that are better than what we have on the roster? They should check their computers again because they have been hacked. Its hard to see the front office not do anything except for picking up reclamation projects and hope they pan out. Instead the team picks up utility players or infielders that the team does NOT need! Pitching Pitching Pitching!! Good pitching Always beats good hitting. Haven’t you guys (front office) learned from our last perennial playoff games. Im tired of making the playoffs. We whould be winning the World Series!!
We have a question about pitching strategy in a tie game in the 9th inning. We notice that on both
Saturday and Sunday this week, as well as during playoff and world series games, the Dodgers will use Kenley Jansen, who’s job it is to close games, to pitch the 9th inning in a tie game. This means that instead of closing, it is quite possible and likely that the ‘closer’ will be used for just one inning. Is
the teaming counting on scoring a winning run in the 9th inning every time that happens? If so, the odds are well against that happening. It could, or as in Sat night scoring in the bottom of the 11th, but other pitchers were needed who are not closers. What happens if the game goes 12, 15, 18 innings then who will close? It makes no sense, and even if you tried to explain it, it doesn’t compensate for the possibility of going longer.
Today the game just ended with a walk off homer by Will Smith, so the Dodgers were simply lucky
but way to many games can be lost because of this strategy .
No Bryce Harper, period. Spend the money more prudently going after Kluber, Bennett and maybe Lukroy while shedding Kemp’s salary. With a new hitting coach Ballinger and Taylor should return to 2017 form while cutting the strikeout drastically and greatly improve their stat regarding RISP. Concentrate more on clutch hitting and contact heating. The homers will not be two thirds of their run production.
Please Dave, do not use Floro or Kelly in another ballgame in relief, neither one has the capability to pitch, I sit and watch or listen when they are announced to relieve and I get
frustrated at their performances! And it is bye bye game. Neither one is worth the money they are being paid.
Just a fan and my thoughts. I don’t think Harper is worth $300,000,000. I know you have a limited amount of money to spend. Don’t waste it. I still remember the Kevin Brown wasted money and Jason Schmidt. Would rather see young guys who if chosen right will be almost as good. Need depth. Good luck. Go Dodgers.
Please create a Dodger Team that has players and management work united with players who want to play as warriors in the postseason. May God Bless You All. A heartbroken fan.
I am 74 years old and have been a Dodger fan since my childhood. In 1954 I remember with my parents attending a Brooklyn Dodger v New York Giants game at Ebbets Field. Today, I still proudly possess that program in my possession. My mother attended the 1959 World Series at the Los Angeles Coliseum and was a Dodger fan through the remainder of her life. Over the past 30 years my sons I attended the games at Dodger Stadium. One of their favorite players is now the manager Dave Roberts. I have been looking forward to watching this year’s World Series, Dodgers V. Red Sox; however, I have lost interest when the team members decided to cross the hotel picket line at Boston. This is inexcusable, and a black mark on the hard working folks of Los Angeles. Whether, you are an union member or not it is irrelevant. People, work hard to improve the standards and quality of their lives as the team members of the Dodgers do too. Of course, the Dodgers showed their irrelevance to these hard working hotel workers who make guests comfortable. Furthermore, seven years ago I wrote the management/customer relations department regarding my mother’s 100th birthday in hopes that they would send her a commemorative card for reaching such a feat. Especially, being a Dodger fan for most of her life. However, much like the players crossing the picket line the behavior of the front office is just as disgusting as the team. I hope the Dodgers lose the series, and maybe you call all reflect what you really are Scabs.
Boston Market Restaurant in Santa Clarita, California has humorously renamed their restaurant “Los Angeles Market” during the World Series. I would love to send you a photo but I can not attach one.
Am watching the fifth game of playoffs and the commentators are not calling the plays. Three players were up, one fly out, one on first and third person batting before he stopped his ongoing conversation and actually called the plays. Did it occur to them, some people because of vision cannot see the plays and rely on the game being called verbally? These guys stink. Thanks for nothing, not happy here on this game.they are making it boring.
Good Morning,
From a fan of many years; this is your year guys. Last night 10-15, does not reflect your passion or skills and was just one of the many trials. You have your fans behind you, and you are the best Dodgers team in many years. You can go the whole way.
Just wanted to tell you we are watching and backing you all the way.
From a fan of many years; your team has all the makings, you are the best to come along in many years, last night 10-15 doesn’t reflect the team or it’s passion. You have all your fans rooting for you, and I just wanted to tell you that.
Go guys; you can go all the way this year.
Hello, I came to Dodger’s stadium and of course, I was turned away. You have a pitching handicap in your whole pitching staff of starters. You don’t know it, but it has to do with grip and control. Did you see the ball riding high on Walker Bueller the other day against the Braves? Grip and control are paramount in regards to a pitcher’s command and you forfeit the best control possible and no one is seeing it. O, by the way, you do it every game you play. Don’t complain when the Brewers start hitting your starting pitching, cuz you didn’t listen, so take the loss and we’ll see you next year. Thank you gentlemen!
We left our game plan tonight (10/07/2018). We swung at bad pitches like over-eager minor leaguers. Muncy, Turner, Taylor all struck out of bad pitches, two of which would have been ball 4 and one of which would have walked in the tying run. Where is our touted patience. We may some awful Brave pitchers look very good tonight!Get a grip! :)
I has been watching the D playing for years, but the years 2017 and 2018 specially , I have seen that they all try almost always to hit a homer. Please hire somebody that teach the hitters to hit line drives and forget about home runs !!!! They will come along.
We are losing the year.
The Dodgers have recently acquired some wonderful free agents which bolsters their offense. This was much needed. However, what they have consistently failed to upgrade is their pitching. In fact, I would argue that they have regressed in this regard, foolishly allowing Brandon Morrow to walk. Until they strengthen this side of the game, I’m afraid that they’re not going anywhere. Los Angeles fans deserve better!
Hello Dodgers,
The Dodgers have acquired some wonderful free agents, however their pitching continues to suffer. You can’t win a championship without stable, strong pitching and until you shore up this part of the game, you’ll never win! Los Angeles deserves better!
I attended Dodger Stadium on Tuesday March 27 with my wife and 3 kids. I was my birthday celebration as well as my 2 month old son’s first ever Dodgers game. I normally cannot afford to sit in the field level section 5 with having to buy 4 tickets. This was a preseason game so the tickets were more affordable. I still spent $250 for 4 field seats and parking plus I had just spent another $70 on food when the game was cancelled. $320 is a huge expense for our family but it was a special night. We were extremely disappointed when the game was cancelled due to the water leak on the field. I was really looking forward to the 7th inning stretch for the first time with my son. I understand that the leak was out of your control, but I hope that you will compensate those fans that attended the game with hard earned money and went home disappointed.
Thank you in advance.
