Authorize.Net makes all credit card and electronic check transactions on websites, retail stores or mail order/telephone order centers easy and secure. Its merchants are from industries, that span communication, information, government, religion, education, among others. Once a customer uses his credit card, Authorize.Net ensures the routing of the data, and passes the secure transaction information to the Processor. The Merchant Bank's Processor submits the transaction to the credit card network. Once approved by the credit card network, the merchant delivers goods or services to the buyer.
Authorize.Net accepts a variety of payments, and that includes all major credit cards, eCheck.Net (electronic checks from bank accounts), gift cards, and signature debit cards. For retail merchants, the company offers IP-based POS systems that processes transactions at low retail rates. For Mail Order or Telephone Order merchants, Authorize manages transactions through a secure browser using the Virtual Terminal or Batch Upload tool.
