Dubai — the city of dreams — is where you get an unusual high by standing atop the world’s tallest architectural structure looking down below at the miniature buildings, tallest skyscrapers, snaking cars, a stunning island dotted with greens and a breath-taking view of the cityscape, the expansive Arabian Sea with sailing dhow cruises, the beautiful coastline, and the vast desert — all in one breath! You experience the novelty on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower – Palm Jumeirah’s latest tourist attraction that gives you a full view of the grand and mighty Palm – the only man-made island in the world that can be viewed with naked eyes from space.

The View At Palm Jumeirah greets you with the famous quote reiterated by Dubai’s ruler and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid – “We do not wait for things to happen, rather we make them happen.” The View (like many other historic structures of Dubai) is a true reflection of his words.

The View at Palm Jumeirah is a delectable place in Dubai where you would love to indulge your senses for a complete, immersive experience. Towering at a height of 240 meters (787 feet approximately) and 52+ stories high, The View at Palm Jumeirah is simply out of this world. It gives you a 360-degree view of this City of Gold from its deck – the observatory. Fascinating, right? Well, there’s more coming.

You cannot help but wonder at the astounding genius that went into the conceptualization and making of the world’s most iconic man-made island. The Palm is an ultimate masterpiece — consummation of perfect engineering, technology, art, architecture, and design in one place.

The View at Palm Jumeirah carefully documents the phases of construction of The Palm which started in 2001 and got completed in 2006; it was ready to welcome its residents by the summer of 2007.

Besides a magnificent panoramic view of the city skyline, The View at Palm Jumeirah on The Palm Tower offers so much more, let’s find out.

What to Explore During Your Visit

Starbucks, the Coffee Shop — You can enjoy a nice cuppa and grab some mouth-watering snacks on the ground floor at your favorite Starbucks before you head straight for The View on the 52nd floor.

The Sea Aquarium-themed Foyer — You may mistake this for real as you step into the foyer. Large and small sea creatures and clear blue ocean waters almost give you the feel of walking under the ocean, but again, it is another work of art and imagination of the ingenious Emiratis.

Walls Documenting the Journey of The Palm — As you keep walking ahead, you see the pictures documenting the journey of The Palm Jumeirah — its conception, construction, and completion in 2006 — adorning the walls of The Palm Tower.

Digital Floor Experience — This is a one-of-a-kind, absolutely mesmerizing experience where you step onto digital footprints on the floor that paints The Palm. Every time you step on one, the digital image of The Palm (Jumeirah) gets completed in parts, and finally into a whole — giving you the entire visual perspective of the world’s largest man-made island.

The Theater — The massive curved theater screen recapitulates the story of The Palm Jumeirah (the island), historic decisions regarding its construction, design, and the final inauguration; the sweat and labor of innumerable people associated with this ambitious project; and the grand opening of the island which now houses several landmark buildings — commercial and residential.

The Fastest Elevator — You finally step into the elevator which takes you at dizzying speed to the 52nd floor in 45 seconds – the observation deck — in the blink of an eye. Before you know it, you are there. Another captivating feature is that the walls of the elevator are transparent, and as you soar higher – you can take snapshots of some of the iconic structures that dot Dubai’s skyline and can also be spotted from the deck.

The Observation Deck — This is the showstopper with its stunning 360-degree aerial view of Dubai. The movable glass partitions allow you an exquisite view of the entire city. It’s refreshing, exhilarating, and liberating to be standing atop the city’s tallest building and taking selfies and groufies with the blue firmament in the background. A disclaimer: people with vertigo should take caution. Some of the landmark constructions of Dubai visible from this vantage point are — Atlantis, The Palm; Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences; Burj Al Arab; Dubai Marina Skyline; and The Palm Resort.

The Gift Shoppe — This is the space where you pick up souvenirs and specialty items for your loved ones back home from your memorable visit to The Palm Tower.

Dining Experience — The Sushisamba Restaurant on the 51st floor at The Palm Tower is for titillating the taste buds of the gastronomes and the gourmands.
