The world is connected digitally and high-speed internet is one of the most important requirements of the current world. Whether it is for work or pleasure, education or banking – internet is a necessity. Bringing about a revolution in the internet industry is Elon Musk’s Starlink. The internet satellite constellation owned and run by SpaceX has its headquarters at California, US. It is responsible for the most extensive global satellite internet coverage.
Everything about Starlink
Starlink currently has over 1,700 satellites, bringing high-speed beta internet service to 25 countries across the globe. The long term plan is to have thousands of small satellites produced in bulk, that move in low Earth orbit and which will communicate with transceivers on the ground. This will enable SpaceX to provide quality internet to even the remotest of areas and rural communities, for whom this will be a boon as traditional internet service providers have limited reach in such areas. Starlink specializes in providing high-speed, low-latency broadband internet services around the world, with speeds between 50 Mbps and 150 Mbps. It complements the existing internet connection such as fiber or 5G.
Activating your Starlink connection is very simple. You will receive a kit that you have to install in your home, plug in, and point it to the sky. This will receive the signal from the satellite, which in turn will be forwarded, to your Wi-Fi router. This gets your home internet going. The antenna in the kit must be placed at a height and should be free of obstruction so that it may freely receive signals from the Starlink satellite. Depending on the area you wish to have the connection in, you will have to pay for the Starlink kit, bear the shipping costs and pay for the monthly service.
What Speeds to Expect
Since Starlink uses advanced satellites in a low orbit, you can use the internet for video calls, streaming movies, online gaming and other activities that require a high data rate. The download speed promised is between 100 Mb/s and 200 Mb/s. This is because of the advanced technology used by Starlink. The internet connects when information is sent through the vacuum of space ensuring high speeds as compared to fiber optic cable and has greater reach to the corners of the world. Unlike other satellite services that depend on a single geostationary satellite that orbits the earth at a great height, Starlink has multiple satellites orbiting the earth at a height of only 550 km and so is able to cover the entire globe. Since it is at a low orbit, data time or latency between the satellite and user is much lower and more effective. SpaceX has innovative technology at its disposal and can launch its own satellites leading to autonomy.
If you need even faster internet speeds, try the Starlink Premium connection. This comes with double the antenna capability of the regular connection and extremely fast internet speeds. This is specifically created for businesses and users who require more bandwidth and higher speeds even when the network usage is at the peak. With download speeds of 150 to 500 Mbps and latency of 20 to 40ms, internet users in the business arena prefer this.

Now I changed my plan, it was automatically activated and i was charged $300. How can I get money back. I havent used one single bit of data. I also contacted Starlink support a week ago but no response from them.
Received my Starlink today. The box was not taped closed. The box was damaged. Inside the box the cable was all bunched up in knots. The dish had damage on it that did not align with the damage of the box and the front part of the dish was dirty. The router was pre-configured with somebody elseโs information.
Returned starlink system. Was refunded $50 less. Also cancelled the $110 mo, but am continuing to be charged. Zero customer service, No phone number to call. Can’t even sign back in to my account. Complete rip off.
how is it you can send rockets into space but don’t have a functioning customer support page. I returned my dish and was charged today for another months service
