Living in a world in the 21st century that is ridden with violence and gore, and is seeped in hatred and disease, it is often that we all pray for a paradise land that will be devoid of all the negativity that we witness today. It is almost like the makers and creators of Dubai’s “Museum of the Future” eavesdropped on our prayers and have made an ambitious project in the heartland of the City of Gold that literally takes your breath away!

It opened its grand doors to the public in February 2022. Let us see what magic it has in store for us.

What are the Highlights

The ‘Museum of the Future’ is a magnificent, imposing structure on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road. It is a vast exhibition space with numerous amazing science projects. From the moment you step into its corridors, you marvel at the jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring architecture and engineering that have gone into its making. This leads you to wonder at the creative genius of the experts who breathed life into this unique concept. It is more than a regular tourist attraction – the creators have launched the project with a mission and a vision. They have made a remarkable effort to divert the human mind toward the scope of science, and its achievements and encourage humanity to invest in ideas that promote scientific discoveries and inventions. Let us mention some of its features that are truly out-of-this-world which makes it a must-visit place on your travel itinerary.

It is a hoola-hoop structured museum with grand and majestic interiors. According to the museum’s architect-designer, “the solid part of the complex structure represents knowledge, whilst the void represents all that we do not know yet- the future.”

The exteriors exhibit fine calligraphy in Arabic, which are believed to be poetry verses by Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid. The building stands out brilliantly at night and is a spectacle to watch amongst a hundred others that dot the Dubai landscape.

At the museum, the innovators have successfully displayed the workings of artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented reality at play.
The building is presently divided into 5 levels – each with its unique and fascinating features for public consumption.

The Ground Floor welcomes you to shopping booths that sell interesting Dubai artifacts and mementos that you can carry with you to your homeland as a remembrance of a memorable trip to this spellbinding place. The cafeteria has robots serving you snacks and beverages. Now, isn’t that amazing to begin with?

Level 1 is named ‘Future Heroes’ – displays some curious and avant-garde technology that would be incorporated at play school levels in the future. The tools and apparatus used in this level show how progressive and practical learning could be facilitated in children through a range of special equipment. Level 1 is meant to be an interesting and engaging zone for kids and children who are thrilled to be introduced to novel concepts. There’s a building block section for them that shower balls as a rewarding experience.

Level 2 is named ‘Tomorrow Today’ – which is a haven for all technology lovers. It showcases mind-blowing interiors alongside models of electronically-maneuvered futuristic cars; artificial intelligence suits that make you fly; bionic hands programmed to carry out various actions; remote-controlled robot animals flying like drones; cyberdogs with ultrasonic sensors, GPS modules, touch sensors, cameras; protective metal jackets that guard against virus and bacteria; biodegradable material from plants replacing plastic; injury-proof chairless chairs with back support; and Tesla Gloves and Tesla Suits with VR goggles for experiencing augmented reality, and so much more.

Level 3 is for heightened consciousness and spiritual awakening. It has special rooms and niches with high vibrational frequencies to help you relax by activating the delta waves of your brain. It teaches how cosmic energy can be brought to life through collective effort. Level 4 is named ‘The Heal Institute’ – which exhibits a biodiverse ecosystem right from the sustainable Amazon green forests to a roomful of biodiverse species of plants and animals that man can create to withstand the atrocities of the environment. There is a dedicated laboratory and observatory with mind-blowing visuals.

Level 5 is named OSS Hope – and is the final floor that gives you an ultimate experience of traveling by spacecraft to a space station (OSS Hope) and back. It fills you with a raw and real feeling that is inimitable.
