Amazon, without a doubt, is one of the world leaders when it comes to global eCommerce. The largest and most successful retailer is entirely built on good customer experience, fast delivery, low price, and large selection. This American multinational has revolutionized the way we see eCommerce and is one of the most influential economic forces as of now. Founded by Jeff Bezos in Washington on July 5, 1994, the company has expanded its reach to a multi-billion market, penetrating electronics, video games, software, apparel, food, jewelry, toys, and so much more. Amazon has already surpassed Walmart as the most valuable retailer, and Amazon Prime now has 100 million subscribers worldwide. The company takes the trophy home when it comes to mass scale and technological innovations. The second-largest private employer in the United States, Amazon is one of the world’s most valuable companies. The success of amazon is partly due to its adjustment to ever changing economic forces and partly due to its dedication to making the consumer experience a favorable one. This is the reason that shopping on Amazon is a piece of cake, and any customer can have access to prompt assistance. If you are a member of the Amazon family and you want assistance with cancellation and refund, you have more than one way to go for it.
Canceling the order
One of the easiest ways to cancel an order on Amazon is to log into your Amazon account. Under the ‘help and settings’, click on ‘your account tab’. Once the account window is open, you can see numerous options, with ‘your orders’ on the top. Select the order that you want to cancel by clicking on it. A new page, with all the information about the order, along with ‘cancel the order’, will open up. Click on cancel, and the page will prompt you to confirm the action. Please note that you can cancel the order only before it is delivered to you. Once it gets delivered, you will have to return the order for a refund. The terms and conditions for return vary for each product, and you will have to check the same on the concerned product page.Â
Refund
Once an order is canceled or returned, Amazon processes the refund automatically. To check the status of your refund, go to ‘your orders’ and next to the relevant order, choose ‘order details’. The refund status will be displayed at the bottom of the ‘order summary’. Payments from credit cards take three to five business days to process. Payments from checking account and debit card take up to 10 business days to process. Payments from Amazon.com gift card takes two to three hours. In case the refund takes more than the usual amount of time, you can escalate the same with the Amazon customer service team.Â
Amazon customer service
Any problem related to cancellation or refund can be escalated with the service team. You can call 1-888-280-4331 or use the website or app to contact the team. Once you are logged into your account, click on ‘customer service’ on the left bottom corner of the menu. On the bottom of the page, you will find a ‘contact us’ option, click on it. You will have two options to go further. One is to call, and another is to chat. Choose the one that you deem appropriate and let the customer service executive know about your issue. The team will help you with the quickest possible solution.
