Conveniently located in Westchester, Los Angeles, and around 18 miles south-west from Downtown LA, the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the third-busiest airport in the world. It is also the second-busiest airport in the United States, offering non-stop 737 flights daily to 100 domestic destinations. When it comes to international flights, the airport serves 88 cities across 44 countries for which 1,386 flights are booked every week.
There are nine passenger terminals within the Los Angeles International Airport with a total of 146 gates arranged in a U-shaped format. Terminals 1-3 and Terminals 4-8 are placed parallel to each other, while Terminal B sits between Terminals 3 and 4. Terminal B is also known as the Tom Bradley International Terminal, which welcomes millions of visitors across the world every year.
What are the Available Parking Options
The LAX Airport offers both long-term and short-term parking options for its passengers. For long-term parking, passengers can either use the Central Terminal Area Parking or Economy Parking options. The Central Terminal Area Parking has more than 7,000 parking stalls spread across eight parking structures, available for overnight trips and extended stays. On the other hand, Economy Parking has more than 4,000 parking stalls, including 305 active electric vehicle charging stations. It should be noted that vehicles that are parked in either of the aforementioned areas for over 30 days will be subjected to impounding at the ownerโs expense.
For short-term parking options, passengers have a variety of options at their disposal. Apart from the usual Economy Parking and Central Terminal Area Parking options, passengers can also opt for Cell Phone Waiting Lots. Cell Phone Waiting Lots are ideal when you want to pick up or drop off your loved ones at the airport, as passengers can wait for free up to a maximum of 2 hours. Additionally, no commercial vehicles or parking facility is allowed within the Cell Phone Parking Lots.
Other parking options inside the LAX Airport include motorcycle and bike parking, which are free of cost inside the Central Terminal Area parking structures. Passengers also get access to valet parking and reserved parking options. Public parking options are also provided at the Van Nuys FlyAway facility only for FlyAway bus patrons, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lastly, employee and remote employee parking options are also available at the airport, either at the Central Terminal Area or at the Employee Lot East, West and South.
