Zoomcar is an Indian car rental company founded by Greg Moran and David Back. To begin a search, users need to select the destination, dates and proceed to payment. Purchases on the website can be made through credit/debit card and net banking. The tariffs found include Zoom Lite, Zoom Classic and Zoom XL. On each plan, the free kilometers vary. Note that all plans include free fuel, insurance and taxes. You can rent by hour, day, week or month.
Users will need to register on the website to confirm a booking. They also need to upload their driving license and abide by the terms and conditions. There is also a security deposit that is taken during the time of booking. In cases of cancellation, late return or damages, Zoomcar will deduct the fee from the security deposit before processing the refund. This booking was cancelled on Feb 25th due non-availability of the requested vehicle. I got a mail saying that the refund is processed and it will be credited back to my back credit card. But till today Apr 9th – there is no sign of refund. There is no way for me call any help desk number as none of them are reachable. Have sent multiple follow up mails but to no avail.

I had booked XUV 500 on 17th Dec 2020 to utilize it on 19th to 20 Dec 2020. However i had to cancel the booking and i got the email confirmation that my booking is cancelled and after deducting 200/- as cancellation charges my balance amount of Rs 7066/- (including deposit amount) will be refunded in 2 to 30 days. Today its 3rd March 2021 and i have still not got the refund back.

I have booked my zoom car on 20th Aug 2020 and canceled within 2 hrs due to some urgent personal reasons. The Amount of Rs. 6560.00 is pending from almost 3 months. What should I do. I called so many times. I think you are going to close the company after collecting as much money you can. Now nobody can call the zoomcar ppl unless they have booking. What is this. I picked up the car from yeshwantpur ttmc.
When I unlocked the car n got inside the car, I was shocked to see old plastic cover n used water bottles in the car..
As soon as I got into the car , I found that there was less fuel in the car ..i had booked the car with fuel.. Utter disappointment with ur service initially itself…
As soon as I started to drive , the steering was unstable.. Disappointed again..
By the time I drove for few kms , I felt like the car wobbling a lot.. I realized it wasn’t safe to drive the car in this stage and that too on a highway.. Utter disappointment again..
It was around 8 am by this time.. I had covered around 10kms .. I sent a mail to ur support but of no use as there was no reply at all..Had to try hard to locate ur support contact number..
I briefed The customer support person about the vehicle problem and she told me to take the car to some local mechanic and it’s more shocking to know that she wasn’t even aware of the company’s service centres. Ohh god.. Unbelievable…
I finally had to trace the service centre n took it there( concorde motors, mysore road) . But the service center timing was 9.30am.. Literally I had to wait for nearly 2 hours for a service engineer to come n attend the issue..
It took me another hour to set right the issue and by the time I started again it was 10.10 am,almost 4 hours since I collected the car.
I again briefed the customer support person about the extension of my travel time due to the vehicle breakdown.
She was arrogant in replying to me by saying she can extend it only 2 hours and told me that I can drop the car by 11pm and no extra money would be charged..
After finishing my journey, I’m shocked to see the detailed billing which says that I have to pay extra for delay in returning the car. Excess mileage amount is included and vehicle damage costs have been included.. Absolutely ridiculous..

Hi team, after writing multiple times to customer support and on not getting proper help i am writing this to you.
For the above booking id I have been falsely charged with damage fee.The car was damaged prior to start of the trip.And was pictures showing the damages were also uploaded on the app.Upon arrival on the location i found out that the door on the driver side was not opening properly.To report this i called Zoomcar customer care number multiple times. But i did not receive any help.I called the person who called me regarding my booking one day prior to the pickup.No help was provided.I returned the vehicle in the same condition as i received.I even wasted an hour or so of my booking slot trying to contact zoomcar officials before i start my trip.I did not receive any help.And finally when i end the trip.I receive a mail asking me to pay for the damages which were never caused during the trip.It is highly unacceptable.

I had made the above said booking and paid an advance accordingly of the whole amount.
When I reached the pick up point, the car was not available. On contacting the customer care, I was told to hold for half an hour for my problem to be resolved. Later again when I called, I was told that the car was under maintenance and the booking will have to be cancelled and will be provided a refund for the same. In case of IMPS it shall be immediate and in case of Credit Card, it shall be done in 24 hours. Today when I called again, I was told it shall take 15 days.
Also the car that was allotted to me and was said was under maintenance, was seen on the road in Lonavala, with someone else.
Anyways please refund my amount immediately or pay interest for the delay to avoid legal litigation.
This is the worst support I have seen from a company Zoomcar. They had mentioned a cancellation fee of Rs 200/- and now it shows differently. On contacting them (only way I get is email) it shows that you would recieve response within 12-14 hours but I see no response on repeated queries too.

It’s related to the booking ID JPS6NAKM6.
I had placed this booking on rental basis, for 5 days.
From 3rd Sept’20 till 8th Sept’20.
However ,I had to cancelled it in case of medical emergency.
When I spoke to the support team rep and informed him about the scenario why I need to cancel it .
She informed that cancelling from the app will deduct 50% amount of booking . Requested her to wave off the cancellation charges as the car was booked on the day before cancellation.
She said I’ll do the cancellation from my end and you’ll be charged for Rs 200 , I said that’s okay . But about the remaining amount when it would be returned. Answer was within 30 business days.
Today is 17th Oct’20 . It’s really pathetic I have been chasing you guys since September fortnight for the status of the amount and when it would be refunded.
I have dropped “N” numbe of emails for the status, had no luck in response.
Your POC numbers is a huge shit, those numbers never get connected even if you try from your ” REGISTERED NUMBER” OR “ALTERNATIVE NUMBER”.
On top of that if we email you guys from our personal mail ID, a useless response is recieved which is as below ”

Many thanks for initiating 2000rs refund to my debit card, but the thing is I have paid Rs. 3000 refundable deposit + additional fuel charges of 1000Rs (uploaded bill for your reference).
Hence I have to receive to Rs. 4000 of refund amount.
But only 2000 Rs have been initiated.
And also I have not utilized 245 free kms without any single damage to the car, and I have dropped off the car in the exact location.
Kindly advise and review your refund calculation.
As I need total amount of refund is Rs. 4000 as I have paid Rs. 4000 extra for one trip.
For one trip that is pick up time at 4pm 26th Jan and drop time 3.30pm 27th Jan. For that I have paid over all amount is Rs. 8427.00. It’s doesn’t make any sense to me. Please review and let me know.

The worst customer support I have ever seen with any other company. I had too many expectations before this, but it seems like no one can keep up to the brand they claim to. Going to the hilltop and shouting, at least that will give an echo. When you try to contact your customer support, no response.
