About Taxify
Taxify is a ride-hailing company founded by Markus Villig in 2013. Formerly operating as mTakso, Taxify currently operates in more than 50 cities across Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America. Through the Taxify smartphone app for iOS and Android, users can book a ride. Through GPS, the app will auto detect your location and connect to a vehicle nearest to address. Taxify serves 15mn passengers globally, with a strong network of 500k drivers.
The fast growing transportation platform currently operates in cities – Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Vienna, Zagreb, Baku, Prague, Limassol, Nicosia, Johvi, Narva, Jaapsalu, Parnu, Tartu, Helsinki, Lyon, Paris, Accra, Budapest, Nairobi, Baghdad, Kaunas, Malta, Mexico City, Durango, Lagos, Abuja, Warsaw, Braga, Lisbon, Bucharest, Moscow, St Petersburg, Riyadh, Belgrade, London, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dar es Salaam, Kosice, Netra, Trnava, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria.
To book a ride, first set pickup location, enter destination and request ride. You will see the estimate price and time when you do the booking. You can see the name and details of the driver. If you need to reach the driver, you can do that as well. When the ride ends, one can rate driver. As for paying for the ride, you can pay by cash or card.
Taxify says riders will have to pay a fee if a cancellation request is placed after driver has been en route or has arrived at the pickup location. The cancellation fee receipt will be shown within the Account tab. Cancellation fee amount varies by location and vehicle option. In some regions, Taxify also offers Bolt electric scooters that can be unlocked by scanning the QR code.
Interested in registering as a driver with Taxify to supplement your income? Sign up as a driver on the website and drive any time. You only pay when you earn. I got hit by a rider of yours who was on the wrong side of the road since october 2019 he pleaded we settle out of police custody but till date he has refused to reach out nor fix damages done to my car. Rather he evades my calls and messages
I called for a ride from Lekki toll plaza to Layode street in olodi Apapa. to drop my family because my car broke down.
The sum of #1,900 was deducted from my account before the trip.
Another #3,700 was deducted from same trip after closing the trip.
Please why the initial deduction of #1,900?
Please I want my money back .
Taxify charged me N3900 for a 20% off ride of N800- N900. The rate is damn too high. I honestly hope the company would look into it and address the issue.
I’m extremely disappointed with Bolt. Some time in June I took a taxi from Glenwood to Montclair, Durban. The driver was so rude that I had to ask him to drop me before I reached my destination and I requested for another car. I escalated the matter to Bolt and was promised that a feedback would be given to me once the matter was dealt with, but up until today I’ve never heard a word from Bolt. During the early hours of this morning, again I took one of your taxis from Durban Station to Montclair and the driver asked for R112.00 which I paid, however, when I received an invoice by email I was billed R87.00. Again I complained via email but still I have not received any response. What is one expected to do in order to be taken seriously, and why do you even bother to ask about our experiences as the clients if you are not going to act on our complaint????
Taxify cabs are currently operating in Beacon Bay East London South Africa. They use a bus bay on Bonza Bay Road opposite the Hub. The bay is directly opposite my office. The drivers behavior as regards litter is a disgrace. They regularly just throw their litter out of their windows onto the street. I just witnessed litter thrown out of car with registration JGS 203 EC.
I request that the drivers are requested to refrain from littering at the rank.
Thanking you for your assistance.
I am writing to show my displeasure on your driver Lawal that carried me Tuesday evening. Is it normal that your driver will carry passenger, and refuse to put on AC? When I asked why, he asked how I expect him to put on AC in traffic, but he collected 4,500 from me because of the same traffic. He even quarreled with me on top of the money I paid him. His argument is that Ijeshatedo is not in Surulere, how daft he is.
If it was Uber, I would have rated him badly after the ride, but finding a way to complain about your driver is difficult.
With this treatment, I do not see myself using Taxify in the future, which is why I always ride with Uber.
