Aboutย Sunway Lagoon
Sunway Lagoon is a popular amusement park in Malaysia. Opened in the year 1993, the park is located in Subang Jaya, Selangor and boasts of about 90 attractions. The 88-acre park is owned by the Sunway Group. It is open daily from 10am to 6pm. Attractions include Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park and Scream Park.
At the park, there is an artificial lake where visitors can enjoy surfing or body boarding. It has waves up to the height of eight-feet. There is also a water funnel called Vuvuzela, Grand Canyon River Rapids, several water slides, a Waterplexx 5D theatre, among others. There are also special shows organised every day. Parking is available at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall and Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. Sunway provides a free shuttle bus service around Sunway Resort City. As for tickets, you have single admissionย tickets for all rides, activities and attractions. Tickets can be purchased online using major credit cards. Purchase the Passport pass for unlimited entries and rides a year. I will like to complain regards to Sunway Lagoon passport. My family purchase the passport during on of the roadshow. During school holiday on 4 June 17,my mother and nephew as well as niece from Johor to KL for vacation. We decide to drop by Sunway Lagoon which was not in their itinerary and they do not bring their Sunway Lagoon passport. The staff at the counter verify that they are one of the passport member using their NIRC but they need to pay extra money as they didnt bring along their passport as per the SOP. This is ridiculous as seem like the passport is more important than the NIRC. Not everyone will bring their Sunway Lagoon passport in their wallet whenever they go. This will be unfair for your customer as they already purchase the passport and they are not allow to enter if they do not have the passport with them. If those customer is from local then they may drop by another day but if for those customer from outstation, is it ask them to take bus or drive all the way back to Johor to bring it to Sunway Lagoon then only can enter Sunway Lagoon without any charges. I will say this SOP is not flexible enough to cater the customer need since they are able to proof themselves are the member using NIRC and the record also show that they are member as when we purchase the Sunway Lagoon passport, we need to show NIRC then only can purchase it because as mentioned by your sales person, Sunway Lagoon need to record it in the system. Then what the purpose that your company want to get our NIRC to record in the system. Is it because you ywant to gather your data to promote your sales in future. If your customer service is not good and you are unable to cater your customer need then customer will not recommend their relatives or friends to enjoy themselves in Sunway Lagoon. This is not good for Sunway Lagoon reputation. I thought that Sunway Lagoon is a place for tourist and good in customer service but this is really a bad experience and a bad reputation to Sunway Lagoon.
