And I thought it was just me I’ve had this for a year now and it’s constantly getting worse and worse. The home screen doesn’t show my favorite channels but shows many things I have no interest in. Buffering more and more I never had a problem until lately. App takes forever to load I was pretty satisfied until the last month and after seeing everyone’s comments maybe I’ll consider something else.
Sling sucks. Mainly from their BS customer support. Would NOT recommend. I have had several issues with them and they give zero effort on making it right and just give some weak responses.
We signed up for a two week free trial..8/4/22. Two days later we changed our mind and canceled. I checked my debit information and they had already charged my card. It said we had until Aug 20th for free TV. Now i canโt get a refund while the 2 week trial period is still in progress! Customer service is terrible.
I am so sick of the the sickness sling tv. I have had it for a few years and it is worse than ever. It freezes constantly. It is frozen as I file this complaint. It is too much work to watch this streaming device. None of my other streamers freeze but sling does all the time. I’m done with it. I have restarted sling five times since I started this post and it still freezes so I can’t watch it. I have 85 Meg dls so there should not be a freezing issue especially with the router in the same room 6 ft away from the tv.
Just contacted sling and told them my many issues. They wanted to charge me 5 dollars I am dumping sling, their customer service sucks and you chat with robots. Sling is the worst rated streamers.
I am going to drop sling. It freezes, it skips, when you record a sports game instead of starting from the beginning it starts at the end showing the end score. I attempted again to cast a recording from my phone and all it showed was commercials for 15 min and then started the commercials all over again. You can’t talk to a real person just stupid already asked questions that have nothing to do with my issue.
The new Sling app is so bad compared to the older version. You can not see upcoming programs without going to the actual guide, which is no longer a 1 button step. The home screen shows “my channels” when in reality it doesn’t even show half the channels I actually receive. When you go to my channels down below while watching a program it puts them in alphabetical order and doesn’t tell you the name of the channel or what’s on next like the old app did, just shows what’s currently on. It also doesn’t tell you if a program is “new” for the week on any of the “guides” The new app has frozen more in a week and had to reboot the Roku than the old app did over the several years I’ve had Sling, with extremely high speed internet. If you struggle at all with vision the old app was also much more defined to be able to see what was on and upcoming.
This is just a few of the things that come to mind. Sling please get it together and don’t make your customer’s Beta testers for $50 plus a month. This is the exact reason I dropped ATT TV streaming service. At the very least give the option to let the customer decide to use the older far superior version of the app.
In summary I now find my self rarely on Sling and more on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney and considering other streaming services.
I have using sling for years now with little complaints until now.
The powers that be decided to revamp the on screen menu and guide for roku and it plain out sucks for any type of navigation I prefer the version I am used to and that is user friendly
If I am paying good money to watch on demand then I shouldn’t have to watch commercials and finally some how you continually to bombard me with opinionated commercials that cut into the the shows themselves unless I change the channels quick then I can watch the program
So in conclusion Sling get it together or I will take my money elsewhere.
I agree the new Grid SUCKS!!!! Ok so they want a longer message fine. Give us back the old grid the new one Sucks!!! Not much more to say. I will be looking into other streaming options. gave this a couple of weeks to get used and guess what it still SUCKS!!
Please go back to the old version of Sling on Amazon. This new version has me wanting to cancel and Iโve been with Sling from the beginning. This new version is slow to maneuver around. It no longer let me know if the show is โnewโfor this week. I would like to see previously played show much easier. This is just really frustrating and a big let down. Sacrificing quality for looks, Iโm so confused.
I sent this to every exec e-mail I could find and they all bounced back…. I did not think it was possible to have worse customer service than Comcast, but I was proven wrong. I have had Sling for 2 years, but just had to contact customer service for the first time, NIGHTMARE STILL NOT RESOLVED.
I am going to summarize as much as I can, otherwise, this will drag on too long.
After your update, my main TV will not go back the program ONLY AFTER AA COMMERCIAL, Get error 24-102
It started AFTER the update and my other TV never updated and is not doing itโฆ.Dโuh it is your fault/issue with the update.
I used Facebook to message and all they seem capable of doing is telling you to uninstall.=/re install NO HELP Did not work and pretty much kept sending back canned responses. The most absurd is, basically just wait as we are making โimprovementsโ WHAT? I guess an app that works would be an improvement.
I am beyond frustrated. Over the past few days, the schedule that appears on my tv and tablet are not the same as what is on my TV. I have missed some of the olympic events I have wanted to see. Get it together SLING TV!
I cannot stress enough how awful the new setup is!!!! You need to change it back to the original format as it makes watching TV terrible. I have had Sling for about 4 years now, and this new design is the worst. It has come to the point where I may need to cancel sling and go somewhere else for live tv. I do not want to do this as I loved sling, but now I can’t get to the channel list while watching a program to see if there is another show I want to watch during commercials.
Terrible experience with this service. I cancelled it back in January and it remained active, I even showed one the representatives the cancellation email and they could not refund me after months of being charged when I proved I had cancelled it. The service had turned back on itself or never really cancelled.
I have had sling for a little over a year The service is getting worse every time I contact sling for help nothing happens. I am paying $45 per month I want to watch one or two full days of television without the service buffing or going out. I do not recommend a sling to anyone
