About Rotterdam Metro
Rotterdam Metro customer serviceRotterdam Metro is a rapid transit system serving Rotterdam, Netherlands. Opened in the year 1968, the metro system operates some 160 vehicles connecting to 62 stations. RET was the first company in the Netherlands with a metro line. Each day the metro serves some 300,000 passengers. It is operated by Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET), which also provides public transport by bus, tram and ferry.

Rotterdam Metro has 5 lines. They consist of Line A (Binnenhof – Schiedam Centrum), Line B (Nesselande – Schiedam Centrum), Line C (De Terp – De Akkers), Line D (Rotterdam Centraal – De Akkers) and Line E (Den Haag Centraal – Slinge). Commuters have Single journey tickets, Tourist Day Ticket and Travel Cards (1 Day, 2 Day, 3 Day and more). Frequent travellers can take advantage of the OV-chipcard (OV-chipkaart).

The reloadable cards can be used to add single journey tickets or passes. With just a single card, commuters can travel on different modes of transport and also view and manage their account online. The cards come in different variants. You can purchase an OV-chipcard on the website using credit cards or Net Banking. All tickets can be purchased at manned stations, through vending machines and even on bus and ferry. Use the Journey Planner tool on the website to view stations, fares and schedule. For more information or queries on tickets, payment, refund, parking, lost and found items, or others, reach the Rotterdam Metro customer service.
