I have been unable to get consistent information concerning my account. I requested an account summary in 2016, just received the summary in 2017. The summary reads as follows; “Use Year Points” Allocation 10/01/2016-09/0/2017-49,000; Current Use Year Points Balance -0-
“Next Use Year Points”-10-01-2017-09-30-2018 points 147,000.
I attempted to make a reservation for April 2017 using an RCI affiliated property and was told an additional $400 must be paid. I was also informed that I would not be able to use 2016-2017 points before paying fees due in December 2017.
I asked to discuss the following payments placed on my credit card by RCI in December 2016–$115; $107;$57.50;$26.00.
I spoke with two representatives on 2/15/2017 concerning the reservation and credit card charges. The first rep. stated that I would be required to pay an additional $400. This rep. did not/would not address credit charges. I was then transferred to a “supervisor”-Doug.
I initially asked “Doug” to explain the additional $400 and credit card charges. He provided no clear explanation for the $400.
He stated that $115 is a fee to “save points” from 2016. He simply stated that he “had no idea” in reference to the remaining charges. He did not address the issue of using my current points in April.
I asked to have accounting email an itemized statement citing charges and purpose. Needless to say, that has not happened.
What prevents me from using my current points without paying an additional fee of $400; my annual fee is only $107?
On September 21,2016, we were notified that its time to pay our RCI membership fee for the year 2016-2017 plus a saving fee charge for the points which we haven`t use for 2015. And on the same date, I send an email about withdrawing our membership. I got a reply from RCI that it takes 12 months to process about the cancellation of our membership and yet we still have to pay the membership in which we do not intend to use our exhange points at all,and charging us a saving fee for unused points from the past year is very unfair,(forcing us to pay) its an extortion!
Why my email is not forwarded to RCI points finance, informing them that we are withdrawing our membership. One year processing of membership cancellation is a very long time, and this regulation of charging us membership fees,with no intention to use the exchange points is very unacceptable, its an extortion! We are very unsatisfied with RCIs system.
Dear Sir/Madam. Can you help me. I have owned a timeshare for 30 years and been a member of RCI all that time. I exchanged frequently when I first owned my timeshare but not done so for quite a few years. Now I have retired my wife & I have decided to use our facility & exchange it, much more frequently.
I am struggling with online exchange – I am not a points member but a weeks member. How do I go about getting available dates in specific locations where I can exchange ?
For example I was looking at Four Seasons, in the Algarve , Portugal. Their red time is from February – November. I also own red time in El Capistrano Village, Spain. It says there is no availability – at no time was I asked for the dates I wanted and thus the information provided is that in the whole of their red time (which is 10 months) they have no availability to exchange – I don’t buy that at all !! I may have wanted to go in the White or Blue time but there is no option to choose – it’s just not available.
If that is the case then why would RCI even bother to have them in the Resort Directory.
I would be grateful for some understanding & where do I enter the dates & venues I would be interested in like the old website offered.

I phoned to initiate withdrawal from RCI today, 31st August 2016.
I understand it will take one year and am registering the date I contacted you so I don’t incur an extra years fees with RCI ( year beginning 1st September 2017)
Your agent was unsure when RCI would be able to ring me back due to workload so the responsibility lies with the company and not me to start the procedure today. I understand the agent sent an immediate email to the person who is to deal with this withdrawal so I presume my intentions will be honoured from today. Thank you.
I have been trying to get a credit refund on my account for the past month. Spoken with Zack, Kyle and others, Never had such terrible customer service. Next step writing to President of RCI. I’ve been on the phone 6-10 times with no resolution. Spent anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes on the phone each time.

We constantly get phone calls saying they are from RCI, When I tell them I need them to send me a letter or otherwise want ways which to check if they are truly offering me a real deal. There have been many offers that are not real, so we are naturally want a way to check if it is so. They will not send me a copy of the offer, are they real offers or can they be just wanting to get our information? The prices are very low, such as 8 days for #399 for both of us which includes a 3 day cruise and 5 days at Hilton head. If these are not real please let me know so I can let the authorities know. I keep getting messages saying our membership is about to expire. Yet nothing tells me when and I have spent a great deal of time looking for this information. Can you please tell me when the expiration date is or where to find this information? Thank you.
