About Poshmark
Poshmark is an online marketplace for buying and selling fashion apparel and accessories. The company was founded by Manish Chandra in 2011. Headquartered in Redwood City, California, Poshmark though initially specialised in women’s clothing it has expanded to include men’s as well as kids clothing. The platform also is accessible through its smartphone app for iOS or Android.
On the website or app, registered users can buy and sell new as well as used fashion at a price that’s surprisingly affordable. You get some of the top brands for 70% off retail. Categories found on the platform include dresses, jackets, jeans, pants, shorts, skirts, swimwear, jeans, suits, blazers, shoes, slippers, handbags, to name a few. Some of the top brands featured include Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, PINK Victoria’s Secret, Coach, Nike, J.Crew, Gucci, Chanel, Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Zara, Ralph Lauren, Levi’s, Jordan and GAP.
On each listing you have clear and large pictures, discounted price, size, color and shipping options. There is a small fee for sellers to list their items. Used items can be listed only if they are clean and in good condition. All Poshmark sales are final. For refund or returns, talk to the customer service. Orders are shipped within 3 days of purchase. You can receive them in one to two weeks. You can also expedite the order by paying extra shipping. All orders are shipped using USPS Priority Mail. Poshmark offers free item authentication and shipping on orders over $500. For more information or queries on payment, refund, cancellation, returns, or others, reach the Poshmark customer service.
The Poshmark team members are very unprofessional and no experience how to communicate with the pushers. I have been working with Poshmark for almost 2 years and in this 2 years even though I have sold many items and have many positive reviews from the customer’s and ratings of 5 stars, it’s so reticles that the team members just go ahead without any proof they restrict my account, I have been sending emails and reports attached with proof of purchase and certificate, after 6-7 days they respond with email and apologizing for the situation and they go ahead and restrain my account, 24 hour passed and then I see they restrict my account again. This situation has become really ugly, I am sick and tired of keep sending emails and reports.
Just one more to add to all of the other negative comments. Here we go…one day Im scrolling looking a jewelry. Then the next day I get a notification from a Posh seller thanking me for my order. But she was out of town and couldn’t ship for a week. I was like WHAAAT!!! I didnt order anything. I immediately contacted her to cancel the order …I wasn’t aware that I could on my end. I explained that it was accidentally placed. She replied that her husband already shipped it and that I would have to go through Poshmark for a return process. Ughhh. But ok. Leading me to believe it wouldnt be a problem. Well after about 9 days and me messaging at least daily i abruptly get a message the order has been complete and deemed not eligible for return. So im out $100 bucks. Not the most money but a total waist for a bracelet I dont want or even like.
There is something wrong with the company – maybe it is going under?
Purchased a designer bag over $500. Posh advertised anything over $500 is sent to corporate to authenticate. Nope it is not. If a seller has reached a certain level (whatever that is) the item does not go through the authentication process – and it is not stated anywhere that the item is not sent to HQ for authentication.
What happens is the seller just sends it on to you – nothing from Posh to back up that the item is real.
You can ask Posh to do the process but good luck – it’s not happening. The seller and I sent countless messages asking to do the authentication process and Posh answered (sorry for your inconvenience type answers) but never agreed to this simple request, authenticate the item.
I tried calling their corporate phone number – does not accept messages but you can leave a voice message – but the box is full? Wait, your revenue is 256 million and your voice messaging box is full?? I’m not calling Joe down at the local industrial warehouse park – I’m calling a NASDAQ listed company – and their voice messaging box is full? Here try it yourself (650) 262-4771 – Maybe they will figure it out for all of us?
Still haven’t heard anything from Posh on the bag so we canceled the order and bought it through another friend who doesn’t not have the “special” designation so it will be authenticated but quite honestly I’m beginning to think even that will be flawed – why would they raise a red flag that it is fake. They obviously need the money since they can’t seem to operate their daily business.
Everyone be aware – something isn’t right.
I have spent 40 minutes trying to find out why I ‘m not able to pull up the full description of 2 purchased skirts from 7/20? One seller, @cece0505 has 2 items in closet (PNDLTN blue plaid wool skirt) and a Nordstrom light color wool maxi.
I’m intending to buy more and have offer pending, but not until I’m able to pull up specifics on the items full descriptive page. The small picture won’t work for me.
I am becoming very uninterested in having to go through it all. I’m not well and Poshmark really wearies me.
I ordered a pair of wood heeled heels. I received a pair of plastic heels. I sent pictures of how they were shipped. (Not in a box, just in wrapping paper, which no one would do,if real wood, for fear of wood heels, getting broken in route.)I sent pictures showing that they are plastic. I sent pictures of horribly worn shoes with a brand new sticker on them that said made in Italy. So I sent proof of all of this. I get a response back saying that the post was not misleading.
Where it clearly was. The post, said what I would receive wood be wood. I received plastic. Definitely was misleading. I offered to send them the shoes. The incompetency, of whoever dealt with my complaint is next level and there seems to be no way to directly complain or let someone at Poshmark know that there is a problem. So there continues to be problems. No one is dealing with the oversight of the complaints as far as I can see. I got a very generic response from poshmark. It was very obvious nobody took the time to read what I had written or review the pictures I had sent.
I feel your pain. I too received an item misrepresented, gave them proof as you did and was also told the seller did not misrepresent the item. I was outraged! It was listed as NEW WITH TAG! The tag did not belong to the item and does not meet Poshmark’s own definition of NWT posted on their website. They blamed me for not asking questions. I should not have to ask questions on an item listed as NWT. THE SELLER SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO MEET THE DEFINITION OF NEW WITH TAG, I’m sure everyone with a complaint knows by now you get an automated response to your email and then they deny your claim. You can not reach anyone by phone and POSHMARK CORPORATE does not give you the courtesy of a reply if you write to them!
After going to the BBB, and writing to Poshmark, corporate twice, I was still denied. I asked the BBB if I had any recourse and was told I could contact the Federal Trade Commission, 901 Market Street Suite 570, San Francisco, CA 94103
phone number 877-382-4357
email: spam@uce.gov

I was seeking ONLY a $7.11 refund. I have not written yet for that fact but I still might. It truly is the principal! See my above reply regarding misrepresented NWT item.
Thank goodness for video! I received notes from Poshmark that their Authenticator said the end tab was torn on the vintage mini speedy I sold. They sent it to the buyer but stated I did not represent my item. That tab was NOT torn! I videotaped the entire boxing just in case something happened! I even marked the box under the tape to show I did not open it back up. As if I would open it just to tear a tab! That tab was damaged at Poshmark. Someone must have torn it when they unpacked the bag. I have video and photo proof of that. My video shows that I carefully packaged that bag! I want to be FULLY compensated for the cost of the bag! Not with fees taken out because Poshmark doesn’t deserve them. I want the FULL amount! This is not right! Further more, there are CLEAR photos of that tab in my ad! I have a clear video of that tab when boxing. They damaged the bag! I am beyond upset about this. I am attaching a still shot from the packing and the photo from the ad. I have kept that bag since 1980 only to have it destroyed by them! I have placed a BBB complaint and posted on their Facebook. I also contacted their customer support. I don’t know what else I can do!
There was a fraudulent charge in my bank account for almost $600 and now I don’t have access to my account. The customer service voicemail is full, so I sent an e-mail. I’ll update when/if they help me out with this issue. So far Poshmark isn’t a safe place to keep your personal information.
We need to voice out our concerns and issues regarding this company Poshmark! Your not the only one! Same as mine two weeks ago 2/20/21 I just drop off to the post office my sold item to ship to the buyer. The day after something suspicious my app when I tap totally sign OUT OR LOG OUT. Which I never do log out. When I log in to gives me an error message. Reset password never received an email at all. Then 4days pass nothing at all. I have money pending. In other word.. It looks likes they took your money. And they don’t want you to login into your account so you can’t transfer the fund into your bank!
Try getting help thdough the BBB. If not Contact the Federal Trade Commission. I too was denied and am still fuming over it. It is not right. They do NOT check or verify anything. And they are unreachable!!!
Hi, is there a direct contact phone number to Poshmark? I have a buyer who said I sold her something broken. It was not broken and it went through PM for authentication. If there was any issue, I would expect they would have let me know at that time. I am worried the buyer is fraudulent. I emailed but I am very concerned of getting a fake piece back or something broken that is not my fault.
I’m so freaking annoyed right now I swear to God I don’t know what the hell happened but somebody got into my account and I cannot find a way to contact somebody to get my damn account I can’t change the password because I think they change the email so I can’t get on it’s really annoying. I had a bunch of stuff up there and luckily I had already taken all the money that I had got from my cells but this is really annoying that I can’t talk to somebody.
I report in the double to triple digits quite often. Too often if you ask me. I sent Poshmark 3 emails with no return response of saying how annoying it is to see these people selling counterfeit purses. I have been harassed by these scammers for warning gullible people to not purchase. These bags are overpriced and posh takes forever to take them down to only have them make new accounts and repost. We pay 20% in fees, for what? Security lacks. Customer service lacks. I think something needs to be done.
I ordered a Gucci Purse for my daughter for Christmas. I was advised by the seller it would arrive on time easily. I purchased it December 7. All answers to inquiries were automated computer generated e-mails. As of today, December 21, I received a notice the purse had arrived in Newark, California. I live in South Carolina. They send all their packages via “snail mail” USPS. So it will not arrive. I plan to cancel payment through my credit card company. Also contacted an attorney. I feel like they are basically dishonest to the buyers and the sellers. FYI I purchased a Gucci Purse through Tradesy – it was here in 4 days and fully authenticated.
