The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) is an Indian power generation company founded in 1975. The public service company, headquartered at New Delhi, employs more than 22,000. NTPC is primarily involved in sale of power to state-owned power distribution companies and boards. Currently, the country’s largest energy conglomerate, NTPC generates electricity through hydro, nuclear and renewable energy sources. It’s 21 coal based and 7 gas based stations generate contribute to 24% of total power generation. The total installed capacity of the company is 53,651 MW. The gas based stations are located at Anta, Auraiya, Kawas, Dadri, Jhanor-Gandhar, Kayamkulam and Faridabad.
