About Nong Nooch Tropical Garden
Nong Nooch, an award winning tropical botanical garden in Southeast Asia, is famed for beautiful landscapes, ornamental flowers, and the largest collection of plants in Thailand. Opened in 1980, Nong Nooch garden is a leading tourist landmark located at Pattaya, and is one of the top 10 gardens in the world. Bought in 1954 by Mrs Nong Nooch, the garden was originally a site for fruit plantation, however in the latter years, it became a wildlife conservation project for tropical flowers, plants and landscaped gardens. 

Built on 500 acres of land, the garden is home to exotic plants with the longest fossil history, and is a thematic tourist landmark, with restaurants, rental houses, religious celebrations, elephant’s shows, spa massage centres, and centre for martial arts. At Nong Nooch, visitors can see a variety of garden themes, inspired from all over the world, desert plants, palms, succulents, zingiberales, bromeliads, and other notable plants groups. The highlights of the garden are the French garden, topiary garden, Stonehenge garden, Europe garden, bonsai, and orchids. 

The nurseries at Nong Nooch breeds over 670 varieties of native plants from around the country, and is a must-see attraction at the garden for its exotic leaf shapes, colours, textures and ornamental flowers. With regular maintenance, the garden is well-manicured, pruned and laid out in stunning geometrical patterns, and is a visual delight for the eyes. The 4-acre French garden is modelled after the 17th century Garden of Versailles in France, and the Stonehenge garden represents the primitive structures built using stones in the early days of civilisation.

Other interesting gardens to look out at Nong Nooch are the Butterfly Hills, the Animal Sculpture Garden, and the Italian Garden. There are around 1,000 varieties of palm trees and 20,000 tropical trees, and orchids of various plant groups at Nong Nooch, and visitors typically spend an entire day at the garden, with a host of daily cultural activities and shows organised by the management team. The garden attracts nearly 5000 visitors every day, and is the most frequently visited place in the coastal city of Pattaya. 

The best time to visit the Nong Nooch garden is from November-February, and is open daily from 8:00am-8:00pm every day. Daily events include 4 rounds of cultural show time, the morning session starts from 9:45am-11:45pm, and the evening session starts from 3:00pm-5:00pm. The admission tickets cost ?500 for adults and ?300 for children. Tickets can be booked online on the website.
