Manila LRT customer serviceThe Manila Light Rail Transit System (LRT) began operations in the year 1984. Serving Metro Manila, Philippines, the LRT operates two 2 lines connecting to 31 stations. The lines consist of LRT-1 and LRT-2. Each day close to 1.3 million commuters uses the services. Owned by the Light Rail Transit Authority, the public transport operator begins at 5am and concludes at 10pm.

The LRT-1, also known as the Green Line, operates to and from Roosevelt – Baclaran. The LRT-2, also known as the Blue Line, operates to and from Recto – Santolan. Tickets for travel can be purchased at the stations or through vending machines. An Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) is being utilized in both the LRT Line 1 and LRT Line 2 systems. There are single journey tickets as well as ‘stored value’ tickets. The single journey tickets are valid only on the day of purchase.
