I am 61 YO. I finally purchased a new tractor. I am not a farmer, and don’t make my living with it. I don’t deal with all the difficulty of someone at the mercy of the weather. I didn’t spend 3/4 of a million dollars to keep my family farm going. I am a residential builder and use it occasionally for work. I have a bucket, back hoe, flail mower, box scrapper and York rake that I use to keep the facility beautiful. The tractor and implements work fabulously! Every time I use them I am so appreciative of being in a place in my life where i can afford/enjoy it. I am so happy with it, it brings a smile to my face when I use it. Is it perfect, no, but great Yes!! As a business,, I know first hand about all the things that fall short, but I am thrilled with the tractor you designed and built. Thanks John Deere!!
I bought a commercial jd zero steer Z930M it has burned oil since it was new. I have complained about it since the first month I started using it. I spent extra money to get the 25.5 Kawasaki engine. It is supposed to be covered through the warranty, but John Deere won’t fix or replace it they state it is normal for a brand new Kawasaki engine to always burn oil. That wasn’t a selling feature that they bragged about. I called Kawasaki USA & they told me that it is not normal for there new engines to burn oil, legally they can’t help me it up to John Deere. I’m stuck just being bent over by John Deere. They won’t tell you this when you buy the product.
I bought a new Gator XUV835R, LOVE IT, except that it throws mudd all over the cab because the bed is not as wide as the tires, you offer no fender flares to fix it as far as I can find. I hope someone is working on this problem, shame to pay $25,000 for a piece of equipment that wasn’t designed to handle this.
I own a very small ranch. I have a John Deere 5075. The tractor had 850 hours on it when the clutch would not engage without me pulling it up by my foot under the pedal. It took it to ?John Deere.. the service man said he never saw that before but they were easy to take apart the smaller tractors.
Three days later I got a call saying the linkage had frozen and that it would be 3200.00 to repair. I complained thinking that should not have happened but I decided to change clutch since it would be already apart thinking only a few hundred more. No one called to tell me the price until they called me to pick it up then said the bill was 5790.00 I was shocked. I argued but no one cared I am small potatoes so just ignored. I will not purchase another John Deere. They do not last and service was poor.
Looking for a repair manual for a John Deere 510,it is impossible to find would appreciate any help you can give me as I am trying to restore it to original condition
I am not sure who I should contact, but I am a very unhappy customer. I purchased a z355 zero turn lawn mower from your dealer ship in Spartanburg SC on Ashville Hwy, on 10/29/18. they delivered it the next day however the mower would not run long enough to get it off the truck. The salesman said to run it some and it should clear up and left. My husband tried to get it to run and put gas in it but it would not go. He called the dealership and told them, they come back out to pick it up to take it back to see what was wrong with it. Said it was a bad coborator but didn’t have one in stock and had to order one. I told them I didn’t want that lawnmower. I wanted them to get a different one…. They searched for one , found it in Florida …. said it would be here by Wednesday…. Guess what was not here today …. I told them I want my money ( paid cash for it) Now they say they have to file a claim to give me my money back …… I AM VERY MAD!!!!!!!
I will never do any dealing with them anymore…..
I want my money back Now!!!!
I just bought a John Deere HPX815e. While the product brochure shows a rear brush guard or bumper, this accessory is NOT available on the website or through the dealer. I have also called John Deere Customer support and they were baffled too but could NOT help me.
i have the D105 purchased at Lowe’s and had so many problem with belt breaking and grass catcher. this summer alone i have put 4 belts on this mower and now today i just broke another to pass on my yard and the belt breaks.
Really unhappy with the service, from the customer service department. John Deere needs to make their online account more accessible for the owners. Which means actually viewing how each payment is dispersed. Example principle payment, interest, GST, PST. Every month I have to email customer service to request copies of our leases. This is really not a big deal but, when I request lease #1 & lease #3 and I’m sent two copies of the lease #1….
I email back to request lease #3 that was not included in the email. I get the same thing sent to me two copies of Lease #1. Three times I was sent the same incorrect info.
I have to do this every month.
If its not this reoccurring issue, its another which is poor timely responses… I wait three weeks for a reply and only to be given the wrong information.
Most recently I sent my email requesting the lease print outs. Fran Townsend emails me back and says, “There was no attachment for your email.”
I requested a copy of the leases … I’m not sending a copy! My email was short and precise. Please send me copies of the above mentioned lease agreements. Clearly the customer service reps are incompetent and do NOT take the time to read emails!
I will encourage my boss to look else where to do business. Terrible service!
Bought a 5100M John Deere 2013 with less then 300 hours. We have had nothing but trouble with it. 1st winter stalled and everything dead. Ship back to Dealer says needs new computer board, change fuel filters, stalls during loading to bring back to us. Back in shop she goes. Change fuel filters again, punch out screen in fuel tank. Bring it back. A few days later go to use tractor won’t start. Grrr. Well to date new computer board, 6 or 8 new fuel filters, fuel check valve changed twice, leaking coolant lines tightened, rear cylinder leaking replaced, fuel tank removed 2 times and cleaned, replaced bent fuel line, 3 new batteries in a year, new ignition, increased fuse voltage, changed electrical harness and on and on. Have been without tractor for months. Costs around $900 Canadian dollars just to get it delivery to Dealer. I would think John Deere would make this right by replacing tractor. Keep giving excuses.
Ontario Canada very unhappy customer.
i live and work at 5 points storage in robstown texas, my boss bought me a john deere mower. i love it, my complaint is not with the mower, its with the people that sell your product. the mower broke down. i took it to our john deere dealer in robstown texas, in december and had it worked on. he redid the deck on the mower. my mower is falling apart and robstown hardware say it’s not his fault. it is probably something else. we spent over 600 dollars to have it worked on and i can’t use it anymore . the spindle is broken, he said it has 3 spindle, well you should have replaced all of them. i looked on my bill for the hours on the mower, the bill said 379, i took a picture of the hours before i went over there and my mower said 334. i know they are not going to do anything about my mower, i just want john deere to know what was going on because this is ya’ll product. i am going to have to purchase a new mower and i am sorry to say it won’t be a john deere because i can not depend on robstown hardware to service it. thank you for listening to me. glynda
We purchased a D160 8-3/16, I would say that we did not register because when I tried today the location shown for the serial number for the mower in the manual does not match any of the numbers given in the online page. We have approx. 100 hours on this mower and I noticed that the steering was getting loose, then became difficult to turn only to the left. When my husband tried to tighten the bolt it snapped. I know he is strong but what type of bolt is used if he can snap it tightening it. I would like someone to email me on how to register this thing and answer my question. He is on his way to our local dealer right now to get a gear for the steering and the bolt. This is our third John Deere and until now I have always been satisfied with your product. That may change
To Whom it May Concern:
On May 23rd 2018 I purchased a new 2018 John Deere Z355E ZTrak Residential Zero Turn Radius mower from our local dealer – D&G Equipment in Howell MI
This is the second John Deere tractor I have purchased and have always been please with the John Deere tractors. However, we had our new mower delivered and the very first time we used it to mow our lawn, one of the tires got a split in the sidewall. It actually had two splits but one wasn’t all the way through the tire. So of course the tire went flat. There we were with a brand new mower and couldn’t finish mowing the lawn. We took the tire back to the dealer and we were told that they would not warranty the tire and we would need to purchase a new tire for more than $100.00! We did not hit anything while mowing our lawn as they suggested. We spent more than $3,000 for this mower and you would expect that a tire would last for more than an hour or so. I don’t understand why this wouldn’t be a warranty issue as I did nothing to make this tire split through the sidewall.
I am hoping we can get this issue resolved . I don’t feel that I should have to spend another $100 for a tire after I just spent more than $3,000.00 for a mower that I now can’t use.
Thank You,
Brian
Hello – I purchased a D-130 Lawn Tractor from Lowes about (3) years ago – It has not cut evenly since day 1. I have had it adjusted, tires pressure, deck height, deck adjustment but could not resolve the issue and have had no luck with the dealerships. Me and my homeowner’s association (several disgruntled customers) have decided to have a public burning of my lawn tractor. We are going to publicize it in the Fort Worth Tx paper and ask one of the local news agencies to cover it. Should be great fun after years of frustration! I’m replacing it with a Cub Cadet. Thanks for nothing John Deere
I purchased a Gator a few years ago and 2 years ago the door window shattered for no reason. I know of 3 other Gator owners that the same thing happened to. There is a problem but the company would do nothing about it. It cost $1000.00 to repair.
Hello,
I am writing this note because my husband and I could not resolve the issue with the service provider Cervus equipment in High River, Alberta, Canada. We have a John Deere A115 and we needed to install a snow blower. My husband took the tractor to the dealer and they installed it which cost us just under $2,400 CDN. The very first time we decided to use we couldn’t because the tractor was spinning in one place and not moving. We have an asphalt driveway which is a bit steep. My husband tried to put sand bags in the tractor to improve the experience but with no success. He phoned the dealer who sold him the snow blower and took care of the installation and asked him if we could return it but the dealer (his name is David Palidwor) told my husband that is not returnable although we are willing to pay for the labour of installation and de-installation.
My question is how is it possible that we cannot return something that doesn’t work for us? Why no one from the dealership never told us that is not returnable? Is there John Deere the company can do to help us?
Thank you
Recently purchased a used 5100E tractor. Great haying tractor, but have one major complaint. Why are side view mirrors not standard? The inside mirror is basically worthless to view traffic when roading.
What is the return policy on a newly purchased John Deere Tractor?
None was specified at the time of purchase and when dissatisfaction was expressed were told it had passed yet none had been stated when the tractor was purchased. Thank you
