The fare types are Anytime, Off-peak and Advance.
The Anytime ticket is valid on any Grand Central service. The Off-peak fares are for journeys excluding peak services. The Advance ticket offers the best available price for reservations made up to 12 weeks in advance. They are available only for selected journeys in First and Standard class. The ticket is non-refundable. For cheaper fares ask for the Carnet tickets that are sold as a bundle of 10 single tickets. You should consider getting a Railcard to load your single and return tickets. The Railcard types include 16-25 Railcard, Disabled Persons Railcard, Family and Friends Railcard and Senior Railcard. Railcards help you save up to 33% on fares.
Travel First Class to enjoy comfortable, reclining seats and complimentary snacks and drinks. First Class passengers also enjoy in-seat catering. Tickets can be purchased at the station or on the Grand Central website. You can collect your ticket from any self-service ticket machine. Tickets online can be purchased using MasterCard or Visa credit/debit cards. The card used for booking, besides the ticket collection reference is necessary for accessing the self service ticket machine.
