About Glassdoor
Glassdoor is a popular job review portal connecting employers and employees worldwide. It allows employees to share their feedback or reviews anonymously. For potential candidates, Glassdoor offers ample tools to research a company and know the performance, benefits, salary reports, among others. Glassdoor was founded by Robert Hohman, Rich Barton and Tim Besse in 2007. The job review site is headquartered at Mill Valley, California and employs some 800 people. The website is also available on separate domains for regions like Canada, UK and Australia.
Reviews can be read and posted on the Glassdoor website or on the official smartphone app for iOS or Android. There are millions of reviews, salary reports and interview reviews posted on Glassdoor. Job seekers can search company reviews and ratings by simply inputting the name of the firm and location. On every company’s individual page you will find separate tabs with reviews, latest jobs, salaries and photos. If you have worked at a firm and want to leave a feedback, you can register on the site and proceed to ‘Add a Review’.
For employers, Glassdoor is the perfect platform to post new jobs. By advertising new jobs, recruiters and firms can reach over 41 million potential candidates. You can also use the free tools to start promoting your brand. Additionally, you can respond to reviews of users and avoid the negative ratings. For more information or queries on registrations, payment, refund, cancellation, or others, reach the Glassdoor customer service.
I contacted your customer service team today via phone and was hung up by your automated operator because I was a “job seeker”. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am with your website and your work practices. As a professional returning to the workforce after a decade, I cannot review profiles on your website without being forced to leave some kind of information on either my previous job. This seems completely discriminatory to people who are returning to the workforce and do not have the information to leave. In addition, when I tried to leave my former company’s information, I could not even do it because your calendar did not go back that far! You are creating an environment in which people are most likely leaving fake reviews to get on your website.
