About Futuroscope
Located on the City outskirts of Poitiers in Western France, Futuroscope is a French amusement park and a major tourist attraction, for European travelers. The amusement park won the Award for “Europe’s best amusement parks” in 2017 and the “Travelers Choice Award” by TripAdvisor in 2018.

Over 30 years old, the amusement park opened in 1987, and attracts nearly 50 million visitors every year, for its state-of-the-art recreational attractions. Built on a sprawling 60 hectares, Futuroscope offers endless recreational and leisure activities, to entertain the visitors with its 30 different award-winning attractions, specifically designed for kids and adults.

Designed by French Architect Denis Laming, Futuroscope amusement park, as the name suggests, is a futuristic high-tech entertainment and leisure zone. The amusement park built with gigantic metal and glass structures, portrays a larger-than- life design theme, in unusual shapes and forms. Majority of the attractions revolve around multimedia and audio-visual graphics, with astounding and unique 3D rides with 4D effects.

The rides at Futuroscope come under five unique categories, namely the families, thrill, spectacular, discovery, and futuropolis. Popular rides at Futuroscope are the La Vienne Dynamique (movie theatre with audio-visual effects), Les Ailes du Courage (3D movie theatre), Arthur, l’Aventure 4D (4D IMAX), and Dances with Robots (Robocoaster).

At Futuroscope, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of mind boggling cuisines, from the 8 themed restaurants and, 9 take-away outlets, serving both traditional and gourmet food, from around the globe. The Skybar at 35 metres up in the air is, yet another trending hangout among the visitors. The IMAX 4K laser cinema, is an incredible experience, and is one among the major highlights of the amusement park.

Visitors can reach Futuroscope, by all major modes of public transportation, and the nearest metro Station is a 20-minute drive from the amusement park, and Paris is less than a 2-hour ride from Poitiers. Busiest during weekends and summers, visitors typically spend a day, exploring all the rides and shows, at the park.

Open every day from 10am-10:30pm, the Futuroscope amusement park offers a 2-day pass for €82 and a 1-day pass for €45. The tickets cost €20 for the evening show, and is €37 for children aged 16 and below. Admission is free for children under five, and day-tickets are inclusive of the spectacular evening shows.
