Customer service is appalling. My partner and I booked a holiday to Samoa in early 2020 prior to the COVID pandemic. First time for me using Flight Centre and I would not recommend to anyone. Due to the global pandemic, our holiday that was supposed to happen in June 2020 got postponed to Dec 2020, then to Jun 2021 and then further delays due to border closures (which is understandable). We were told in May 2022 that we will finally be receiving a refund for the flights however this is STILL ongoing. Our contact person Stephanie has not been responsive to ANY emails. We do not get any updates unless we chase and even now, I am still chasing a response or at least an acknowledgement of a form we sent on the 30th March! I have been sending daily follow up emails and have not received ANY acknowledgement of the emails. At least tell me you have received it and are chasing or something, instead of silence.
Rang Flight Centre, spent an hour on the phone, had to change flight dates, but what did Lynne from the Philippines (Flight Centre ) do. Cancelled my flights and told me my credits wouldn’t be available until 24 hours. I told her i didn’t want to cancel, just needed to change the dates. I then asked to speak with a Supervisor, she responded they are unavailable, but she can put in a request for someone to phone me back. Seriously she didn’t understand what I wanted to do, I told her she needed to be Trained Properly. Then I told her that I needed to speak with an Aussie Customer Service person as they might understand what I wanted to do, change my dates. It’s not ROCKET SCIENCE or is it.
$1000.00 later and still no flights?
Reading some of these comments is really quite depressing. I have booked with Flight Centre previously – including an around the world trip – and been reasonably satisfied in the past – but I have to say that the recent experience a friend and I had in booking a trip to Europe via Asia, has turned into a complete nightmare. When things go wrong – as they regularly did on this occasion – why not just admit it and do some meaningful about it, rather be become defensive and blame everyone else? I’m afraid we won’t be returning as customers after the treatment we have received.
The flight center customer service is appalling. My flight was canceled from New Delhi to Sydney. They said they would refund the money if I could not wait for their reschedule. I had an important meeting so I paid for another flight which was very expensive. This took place on March the 24th, 2022. I have called flight center customer service at least 5 times and each one of them will say I have emailed the airlines and you will receive an email about it with in 24 hours. Nothing happens and you call them again wait for 40-50 minutes, take time off from work to hear it again. When asked that the previous guy said the same thing, there is no record of what he had done for my refund. It is frustrating but I will take it further to the transportation service so that others don’t go through this frustrating process. They are there to get their salary and not to help.
I had the same issue, I booked a flight from SYD- LHR and it got cancelled and i was offered a refund with a time frame of 12 weeks and after the tenure I called them, they made up stories on the airline and never refunded my money.
I’m trying to correct a name on my booking to Manila. Ref 12948608. I have spent hours on hold then once I get through told I need to email flight centre with a copy of passport. I was given an invalid email address and told to wait 48 hours. I just spent over 3000 dollars on flights, and would have spent over 12000 on flights this year. I’ll be going elsewhere with my money if this is not rectified. Lack of customer support and service.
I booked my flight from MEL to LAX via SYD for Nov. 07, 2021. I was not able to travel because of Covid restriction. I have been calling them (spending over 2 hours on wait on international toll every time I call). I was told that they would refund the money in 16 weeks. It is more than 25 weeks. I am still waiting.
Does the Flight Center even bother to reply? How come it is still permitted to operate?
Was due to fly to Queensland yesterday but due to the new COVID restrictions we had no choice but to stay in WA. When checking with the hotel to advise them we were told we had no room booked anyway.
We contacted Ocean Keys branch who were rude and insisted there was a booking. When I tried to explain that I had spoken to the hotel direct, was practically called a liar and the phone was put down mid conversation. Absolutely disgusted. Have always booked via Flight Centre and never again. Rude staff, not even an apology for the mistake which was totally theirs. Just as well we didnโt get on the flight. Given no refund just credit. Disgraceful
Walked in to springwood flight centre this morning a guy and a young lady just looked at us. Felt like we had just interupted a conversation not even a good morning. Enquired about flights to Bali and mentioned on line special I was quoted bit less than $90 per person dearer when we mentioned a special we had seen the new price was $40 less when I asked why it was still about $50 more than the ad I was told quite bluntly well I am not a computer we are charged a booking fee. I understand but this guy with his pompous attitude is in the wrong job. We regularly use our local flight centre but not any more.

I am no longer a flight centre customer.
When I needed to change a flight I was not only charged the airline change fee and the fare difference but was also charged a $50.00 change fee by Flight Centre. This to me is bad business practise especially for long term clients who book international and domestic travel regularly.
The staff were rude when I initially booked the flights and when I started requesting that the fee be waived I was told not to be angry and was then hung up on.
