Aboutย Dubai Museum
Dubai Museum is a popular tourist attraction located within the Al Fahidi Fort in Dubai. One of the oldest building in Dubai, the museum attracts more than 1 million visitors each year. Though the museum was opened in 1971, the fort boasts a history of many years. It was built in 1787. Dubai Museum is open Saturday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM and on Fridays, from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Visitors to the museum enjoy incredible exhibits of the country’s history and cultural richness. There is also a collection of weapons, camel-bone decorations, paintings, stone inscriptions, musical instruments and stone and pottery items. Additionally, there are archeological ruins from Al-Qusais, Hatta, Al Soffoh and Al Jumeirah. There are even artifacts that back to 3000 BC. A majority of them are made out of alabaster, copper and mud.
