I have to say, I find cross country’s customer service the worst out of any of the franchises. Twitter responses are rude and deliberately unhelpful, staff on board are ill informed. It’s a prime example why the trains need renationalising.
I took a train from York Monday 25th November, I have to say how impressed I was with the service my sister and myself both received. Your staff stepped on to the platform and lifted our bags for us., we are old 85 and 77yrs. When we got helped on board, we were in a lovely atmosphere of light and cleanliness, comfortable seats. We did have a problem before we left the station as our booked seats were facing the wrong way for my sisters travel sickness. I approached staff, Corina, and fortunately for us there was an empty seat further back. We only had 2 stops for Durham, but we were given refreshments. Same service was received getting off train. I am writing because I think Corina is a credit to your company, and she should get a ‘feather in your cap’ as it were. I came away thinking there is no job too large for the female staff attending first class. Well done cross country.
