I purchased a brand new shrink wrapped copy Coreldraw 7 a few years back. I have the original media – I have sent the receipt of purchase and photos of the original media – support chat have still got me on hold (it’s been an over an 90mins now – they are in Manila, Philippines chat support (Myrlenita Dolot)
Meanwhile, someone from the support team – says the copy I purchased ‘brand new’ from a retail store is “pre registered” to someone presumingly in France based on the email they sent me?
It was a plastic sealed unit with full media and a serial number inside? Corel support team are asking me to sign in with someone’s email from France (.fr)? who I don’t know – I am in Australia.
How can I possible know this new copy of CorelDraw is not a pre-registered license also?
I am clearly the rightful owner of this software and in good faith have done the right thing by Corel the company ?
I am seeking to be able to update my software which I purchased – I have a been a loyal customer
of CorelDraw since version 3 ?
Though no fault on my own Corel now seek me to contact a retail reseller (Office Works) of Corel’s software to sort this mess out?
How do I know in the future if I buy another one Corel products– it’s not already registered to someone else?? Clearly there is an issue in Corel’s supply chain. How did the other person get my licences number on a sealed unit or why was able to purchase a pre registered copy?
Vinay, This is a appalling
This company has been unable to rectify my installation issues. The software was never installed despite many back and forths between the technical stall and service reps. All in all, they have REFUSED to give me a refund despite the 30 day money back guarantee. Casey, the very rude and unhelpful customer representative, claimed that I purchased a subscription and cannot receive a refund even though their product is NOT working. She also refused to provide a manager’s contact and left me with no solution or product.
I have tired several other forms of communications to the Corel staff and they have consistently managed to waste my time and give no solution.
To date, i have not received my yearly subscription amount.
I may have to contact bureau of standards…
I have sent this e-mail to our IT support. Frankly, after using CorelDraw since my Commodore 64 times, I am now so fed up that I search for a replacement:
Dear IT Service team,
I am using CorelDraw since decades and CorelDRaw X8 since more than a year. X8 tried to induce me into creating an account and log in, but there was a Skip button.
The Skip button has now disappeared and after creating an account I just get the message “Your Corel account has missing information. Please contact Core Customer Service to solve this issue”. Not even an e-mail is provided.
I did completely deinstall CorelDraw X8 and tried the CorelDRAWGraphicsSuiteX8OfflineInstaller both with standrad settings and after disabling Corel Conect. The result is always the same. I am asked for my account information and cannot use a program for which my department paid.
Is there any solution for this?
KInd regards
Gunnar Jeschke
