Axxess is a South African Internet service provider founded by Franco Barbalich in 1997. The company started as Axxess Africa and over the years has expanded its offerings to include hardware sales, business connectivity and web hosting. In 2008, the company launched over 600 WiFi hotspots across the country. This led it to receive the Internet Service Provider of the Year award. In 2014, Axxess launched the Axxess Mobile, a 3 month affordable mobile data plan. Headquartered in Port Elizabeth, Axxess today is one of the largest privately owned ISP’s in the country.
On the website, you will find a range of products you can shop from. They include DSL fixed line broadband, fibre internet, and mobile internet. For a DSL connection, you can opt for a capped or uncapped packages. You will need a monthly billed Telkom phone line, a DSL line, and DSL modem or router. For those on budget, there are prepaid DSL packages as well. For ultra fast broadband, opt for the Fibre Internet. You will need a Fibre line, and a modem/router for installation. Canceled my LTE and signed up for Fibre with Axxess beginning of June. We are now on the 31 July and I still don’t have active fibre. I have been calling Axxess and Vumatel every single day for the last 5 weeks and still no fibre or answer as to why they can’t activate my service. This level of service is utterly unacceptable. We are currently sitting with no LTE, Fibre, I have no internet and this is severely affecting our lives and my work and livelihood. Actually having a manager call me and sort this out would be the right thing to do for axxess but it seems they have lost all customers care tactics and really don’t give a damn.
Worst service ever… I’ve been waiting for feedback since Monday, 3 May 2021. I end up having to call the 087 number at least twice a day and when you speak to a consultant they promise to get back to you with feedback, still nothing. And all I require to have my internet working at home is the ONT (fibre box)!!! Seriously, wish I never signed up with Axxess!!!
I am utterly disgusted by the service given to my parents. I am currently in china and they call me everyday to try and help them sort out the issues they face with the provider.
A special arose and my mom found interest and decided to sign up for fibre. They where told it came with free installation…she is later told that she has to pay for installation and the router and all sorts of other costs which came up to R1240.00.
They said they would install within a week and still nothing. My parents called, emailed them every week with no help at all. Eventually Senior Management asked that they be given one more week as they are given a month to install and a month would only be the following week. A month passed by and still nothing.
My parents called again to complain a week after the month passed and eventually people were sent to install yet it was still not working. They call them to make them aware and were then told to make another payment of R350.00 to activate. After back and forth for 3 days my mom decided to pay.
She was told it has been activated yet it is still working. This morning she called and asked that they please send people to come and assist them because it is not working. They were told it’s not their problem if they can’t get it to work, no one will be sent.
Hi I would like to cancel my subscription at the end of October 2018. My area has fibre and Telkom connected and supplied the modem at no extra costs.
I cannot remember my code or password. Please help
