Aboutย Adelaide Botanic Garden
Adelaide Botanic Garden is a popular tourist attraction in Adelaide, Australia. The public garden is spread across 125 acres and was first opened in the year 1857. The Adelaide Botanic Garden along with the Wittunga and Mt Lofty Botanic Garden form the Botanic Gardens of South Australia. Some of the architectural treasures here include the Bicentennial Conservatory, Palm House, Amazon Waterlily Pavilion and Santos Museum of Economic Botany.
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is open on all days, weekends it opens at 9am and other days at 7am. Admission is free. However, visitors will have to pay for the parking which is available in Plane Tree Drive, the Goodman Building carpark and State Herbarium carpark. Disabled visitors can pre-book for wheelchairs for hire at the garden. As for reaching the garden, you have ample options, from bus, train and tram available all the time.
There is a Visitor Centre where enquiries can be made. You can also request information for free guided walks and specialty walks around the gardens.
