Being one of the largest telecommunications companies in the Philippines, Globe Telecom has revolutionised the market with its high-quality and reliable services. Over the years, the company has consistently invested heavily in its network infrastructure while also continuing to innovate and meet the growing demands of its users.

Originally established in 1991, Globe Telecom currently boasts a subscriber base that exceeds 90 million in the Philippines. And its wide network coverage, spanning 96 per cent of the country’s municipalities, has become a talking point for new customers looking to migrate from inferior service operators. Apart from offering prepaid and postpaid plans on its mobile network, subscribers can also get access to its fixed-line, TV, and broadband services without any hiccups.

To further enhance the value provided to its customers, Globe Telecom offers competitive pricing for all its subscription plans – whether you are opting for its mobile or broadband service. And coupled with strong customer support that is available any time of the day, solving any problem becomes child’s play.

Having said that, Globe Telecom also has its fair share of criticism, such as frequent instances of network congestion leading to dropped calls, slow data speeds, and confusing offers that are difficult to keep track of for the general user. In addition to that, subscribers have also complained about how customer support can be slow at times, leading to unsatisfied end-users.

If the above-mentioned complaints completely mirror your user experience with Globe Telecom, then it does not make much sense to continue your subscription any longer. That is why we have created a step-by-step guide for you to cancel your service and ultimately enjoy peace of mind with a different network operator.

Cancellation Terms For Globe Telecom

Globe Telecom allows its users to cancel their service at any time they want. However, if the service termination request is registered before the expiration of the contract period, then a certain amount of pre-termination fees will be applicable. The pre-termination fees that you will be liable to pay will depend on whether you have opted for a contract including a device (a smartphone) or just a SIM-only contract.

For contracts that include a device, the pre-termination fees will be calculated by adding the gadget penalty fee, unpaid monthly instalments, and the admin fee. On the other hand, if you have a SIM-only contract, then the pre-termination fees will include only the penalty fee and the admin fee. In addition to the above-mentioned clauses, Globe Telecom also recommends that its outgoing customers fully pay any other balances and unbilled usage charges before requesting termination.
