Shein is a popular fast-fashion online retailer that offers affordable, on-trend clothing for women, men, and kids. Established in 2008, the company was founded by Chris Xu and is currently headquartered at Singapore.
When it was first launched, Shein was branded as ZZKKO. Later, it was rechristened as Sheinside, before becoming the company it is today. As of 2022, Shein is the world’s largest online fashion retailer, and the company currently ships across 150 countries and counting. Additionally, after its latest investor funding round in April 2022, the company was valued at $100 billion.
One of the primary reasons why Shein has gained immense popularity among Gen Z shoppers is because of its relatively inexpensive apparel catalogue. Back in the day, Shein followed a drop-shipping model, after which it ventured into designing and manufacturing.
Some of the popular product categories on Shein include clothing, lingerie, shoes, accessories, bags, and jewellery. Lastly, the supported payment methods on the platform include debit and credit cards from major vendors (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club, and American Express), PayPal, Venmo, Afterpay, and Klarna.
What is Sheinโs Cancellation and Refund Policy?
Shein allows its customers to cancel any order online (via the website or app) before it has been shipped. However, once an order is shipped from the company’s warehouse, the same cannot be cancelled, and customers have put in a return request after receiving the order.
Customers have a time frame of 35 days (maximum) from the date of purchase to initiate a return. It should be known that return shipping is free for the first return package of an order, after which additional returns will cost $7.99 in shipping fees. This $7.99 shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
Additionally, refunds are processed within seven days after the return package is received by the company. Additional 3-5 days might also be required in case of transportation delays. Refunds are usually credited to your original payment source or your Shein account wallet.
