About Yas Waterworld
Yas Waterworld is an amusement park in Abu Dhabi, with just a 90 minute drive from the Dubai International Airport. Opened in the year 2013, the waterpark is located on the Yas Island and boasts of over 45 slides, rides and attractions. Among the highlights is the Dawwama, which is supposedly the world’s first hydro-magnetic tornado waterslide. Yas Waterworld is owned and managed by Farah Experiences.
Some of the top rides and attractions at the waterpark include Rush Rider, Bubble’s Barrel, Jebel Drop, Falcon’s Falaj, Liwa Loop, Hamlool’s Humps, Bandit Bomber, Sebag, Yadi Yas, Slither’s Slides, Amwaj Wave Pool, Al Raha River, Cannon Point, Jabha Zone and Marah Fortress. For dining, you have the Chubby’s Kitchen, Al Wa’ha Cabanas, Dana’s Diner, Salma’s Snack Shack, Yas Berry, Farah Flavours, Gahwat Nasser and Skinny’s Frozen Treats.
Yas Waterworld is open on most days from 10am to 6pm. From March to August, the park hours go up to 8pm. Parking is free for visitors; valet parking is available for AED 40. If you are staying at a hotel on Yas Island, you can use the free shuttle service which runs from 9am to 9pm. As for tickets, you can purchase at the entrance or online through major credit cards. You have Bronze, Silver and Gold tickets, with a variety of features. There is a Two Park Pass as well as an Annual Pass that offers unlimited access to over 30 rides, slides and attractions.
