About Kuwait Towers
Kuwait Towers is one of the most popular monuments in the Gulf, built around 1979. In total, there are three towers, two that feature spheres that hold water for the city, while the third with a revolving restaurant offering an incredible view. The tower closed for nearly 4 years and reopened again after renovation in 2016. The main tower is said to stand at a height of 187 mts.
Designed by Danish architect Malene Bjørn, the lower sphere of the largest tower stores close to 4 million litres of water. Visitors can access the restaurant or the viewing sphere upon entry. It costs KD3 per person. Those visiting the restaurant do not need to pay a fee. They also get to visit the viewing deck for free.
The viewing sphere is divided into two floors, with the top having a rotating platform. Open from 9am to 11.30pm, you will be stunned by the beautiful city skyline that can be seen from here. There are also paid binoculars for closer view. In case you are visiting for the restaurant, there are two restaurants at the restaurant sphere, and a lounge. The first restaurant is an open buffet area and is called Horizon.
