A convenient and affordable way for unlimited travel within the designated zones of the A-Welle fare network, the Z-Pass A-Welle Day Pass is perfect for day trips, to explore new areas, or simply bask in the local culture. This means that you can hop on and off buses, trams, or trains throughout the designated zones covered by your pass.

The A-Welle fare network currently includes the cantons of Aargau (excluding Rheinfelden district) and the Olten-Gosgen-Gau (Solothurn) region in Switzerland, where nine different transport companies have teamed up together to provide this amazing service. As a result, the same simple fare system applies across the selected zones, meaning that you can travel to a variety of different destinations at your own pace. Also, you do not have to deal with buying multiple tickets, ultimately making your journey more convenient.

Having said that, if you want to purchase your own Z-Pass A-Welle Day Pass or for your family and friends, then our extensive guide can help you sort out not only the purchasing process but also the important tidbits you need to know before you start your journey.

What are the Types of Tickets and Costs

The Z-Pass A-Welle Day Pass primarily comes in two types – one for single travelers and another for multiple travelers (a group of six persons). And each ticket carries a one-day validity, up to 5 AM the following day.

For single travelers, adult tickets start at 14 CHF (Swiss Franc) for 2nd class and 24 CHF for 1st class for 2 zones, rising up to 62.80 CHF and 106.80 CHF, respectively, for all zones.

On the other hand, multiple-day passes (consisting of six single-day passes) start at a cost of 84 CHF for 2nd class and 144 CHF for 1st class for 2 zones, rising up to 376.80 CHF and 640.80 CHF, respectively, for all zones.
