Much awaited notification for SBI Clerk recruitment 2021 is here, and a total of 5000 vacancies are to be filled. State Bank of India has initiated the registration for the process, and the registration link is already active. The advertisement notification calls for applicants who are interested to fill in vacancies for the posts of Junior Associates (JA) and SBI Clerks. Interested candidates have an opportunity to join one of the most prestigious financial institutions in the country. The process is fairly easy and entirely online, which means you do not have to stand in serpentine queues to complete the registration formalities.

Who can apply?
There are specific criteria that you need to be aware of before applying. Candidates have to be of the required age limit. Applicants, who are not below 20 years of age, and not above 28 years on April 1, 2021, can apply for the posts. This means a candidate, who is born earlier than April 2, 1993 or later than April 1, 2001, cannot apply for the advertised posts. There are certain relaxations in the age bar for different reserved categories. SC/ST candidates have an age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit, OBC candidates have a relaxation of three years, PWD (Gen/EWS) have relaxation of 10 years, PWD (SC/ST) have a relaxation of 15 years, and PWD (OBC) candidates have a relaxation of 13 years. As far as the academic qualifications are concerned, candidates need to have a graduation certificate from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. There are special reservations for persons with disabilities such as locomotor disabilities, visual impairment, or hearing impairment.

Examination procedure
The selection of the candidates will be made based on a preliminary test and main exam. Phase I, also known as the preliminary test, will consist of 100 objective-type questions, which are to be completed in a one-hour duration. The examination will have three sections, including English language, reasoning ability, and quantitative technique. Wrong answers are marked negatively, and each wrong answer will mean a deduction of 1/4th mark. Phase II, or the main examination will last for 2 hours 40 minutes. The sections covered in this phase include General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude.

If you want to register yourself for the recruitment process, you will have to visit the official SBI website. On the homepage of the website, you can click on ‘latest announcements’. A drop-down menu with multiple options will appear on the screen, and you can find a link mentioning ‘SBI Clerk, JA Recruitment’. Click on the link, and it will give you access to advertisement notifications. If you want to understand the terms, remuneration, eligibility, and other reservation-related information, you should go through the notification thoroughly. Now to apply for the posts, you have to click on the careers tab on the homepage. You will see a link under “SBI Clerk Recruitment”, and proceed to click on apply. Check out the registration form and fill in all the necessary details. Now you are officially registered on the website. Proceed to log in and fill out the application form. You will have to upload the required documents. Once done, make the payment for the application form and click submit. You will see a confirmation page that you can download for future reference. SBI will communicate via registered email address regarding examination time, venue, roll number, and more.
