I just received message that my cell nr won R150 000.00 and wan’t to find out if it is a scam..
its usually fake..but you can contact the Nokia support to verify
I have a nokia 6730classic. It has S60 software platform, which includes synchronisation of many of its features, including the calendar. I am trying to synchronise the calendar to google calendar. Judging by the information it asks me to fill in, it certainly seems to have the capabilities of doing this once one downloads the appropriate bridging software such as Emoze (from ovistore). However, I can’t find anyone who knows how to do this. I just need a little help with some of the settings required. The manual doesn’t include all the phone is capable of, and therefore any callcentre using it simply tells me the phone can’t do this. However I am pretty certain it can.

I have a NOKIA C3
Dear sir/madam
Monday morning i received an sms on my nokia mobile said i have won NOKIA PROMO LOTTO, Ref no Uk21. I did send a mail to him but he replied by giving a form to fill so as to have my details for sending my prizes of 150,000 pounds and a nokia phone E7-00. I wish to know whether its real or fake?
most of such are fake
I’m trying 2 get my N8 repaired,Alberton as always failed.the starter pack sensor reader is damaged, need replacement.
Hi! I have a Nokia N8 which I got when I upgraded on my network. I had the phone a few months and it got wet. I took it in and they send it back..BER! I took it to another repair shop and it came back the same. This is not right. How can Nokia make phones like that! I supply lost all my trust in Nokia.
December 2011 i took my phone in for repairs, it was just 4 months old at the time when the touch screen stopped working. I took it in to my service provider for repairs and 4 weeks later it came back. time delay was expected as it was during the holidays. 3 weeks after receiving the phone it gave me the same problem, i took it back to the provider and after a month of asking the shop i took it to I was told it is irrepaireble because of corrosion. how does this happen when it has not come close to any water or moisture. It does not make sense that it was repairable 1 month earlier. (nokia x2-02)
I have asked the repaire centre to contact nokia but still have not received any call back.
“sweaty palms” is the cause of it can you please confitm this and if so is the phone not made to with stand it?
I too recieved an sms and being desperate, replied and responded. I contacted the numbers, which were land line numbers as well and always got the same response “Nokia Mobile Promotions”. I deposited an amount into a Standard Bank account with the assurance that I would receive my winnings within 10 hours. The following day, I followed up as I recieved nothing and I had given the accounts departments number…..No answer…..I then recieved a further sms stating that I had to deposit a further amount as the funds transfered to my account were from the UK and I could not see them on my statement or draw it until the currency was converted….I then contacted the supervisor (Mr Allan) back and he said that he did not understand as to why I had to pay a further amount and that I should contact the Pretoria branch (no answer). What should I do as I have borrowed these funds and now need to pay them back. Is this a fact or is it also a scam?
I have received the same sms saying I have won R155,000 in a Nokia promotion. This is a scam. DO NOT pay or transfer funds from ur own account. You will not see it again or ur “winnings” either. Be very careful of these scams.
Re: Repair and After Service of Nokia N97
I am addressing this letter of complaint to you as a last resort to bring Nokia’s attention to the extremely bad service I have endured this far. I have been a faithful Nokia user for years and believe in the product however I experienced problems with my Nokia N97 since August last year. I have taken it in for repairs but have since continued to experience problems.
Referring to my e-mail dated 28/03/2012 E-mail reference no: 1-12261413991, I sent a mail to Nokia Care Line (NCL) listing the issues I have with the phone and in return received a list of coding solutions that I can try. I have tried this and rebooted my phone several time and endured struggling with a phone that has not been operating properly for 3 months until I got to the stage that I just could not handle dealing with a phone that is constantly malfunctioning.
Frustrated with the situation I contacted NCL via mail on 21/06/2012 advising that I have contacted the Nokia Care Centre (NCC) in Pinelands and that I will be taking my phone there for repairs as simply cannot continue doing business or social communication with a phone that is constantly malfunctioning and not allowing me the pleasure of using it hassle free.
• First drop off at NCC- Pinelands
I took my phone into NCC in Pinelands on 22/06/2012 and was told that my phone will be sent away and be returned in 5-7 working days because it must be sent to Nokia head office in JhB. I then did not receive any handset to use which I accepted because I did not make any prior arrangements. I then returned for my phone in the following week (Cw 26) because I was contacted/advised saying that my phone is completed and ready for collection by a member of the NCC in Pinelands Cape Town.
• Second drop off at NCC- Pinelands
After collecting the phone I returned it the following day as the symptoms were the same as when I dropped it there the week before. I then returned my phone the following day, to NCC – Pinelands, and then received a loan handset from them. They then informed me that it will take 5-7 working days again as the handset needed to be sent away to JhB again. This was the time that I was informed that the phone was ready for collection but when I got to the NCC-Pinelands, I as informed that they will need to send it back to JhB and that this will take an another 5-7 working days. I then kept of following up on the where about/state of my phone to which I finally got feedback saying that they, NCC-Pinelands, is not happy with the phone and will have to send it back to Nokia JhB. After 1 week of constantly calling in to NCC-Pinelands to check if I can collect my phone and was told every day that the phone was not returned from Johannesburg and they cannot tell me when my phone will be returned and or if my phone was fixed or replaced. The phone was then returned to me and I was assured that the handset would work the way it did before. I then took the handset and was on my way happy with the fact that I was getting my phone back. Then I got home, tested it, and then incurred the same issues as before. I called in to the NCC-Pinelands and informed them about this to which they replied that I had to bring my handset in again because they have to see the handset/inspect it and then make a decision to send it away.
This was where I reached my capacity in terms of being the consumer that accepts abuse from Nokia!!!
Firstly, this complaint is about the time and money that I have wasted trekking back and forth to the NCC-Pinelands. I did a total of 3 trips to the centre where one of the trips was all for nothing as the members there did not check the phone and requested that I return the following day. The NCC-Pinelands is approx. 25kms away from where I work.
Secondly, I have been downloading and wasting my data/money every time I receive either a loan handset (2 in total) or my own handset back to load my social/email and other applications onto the phone.
Thirdly, the lack of interest, professionalism and etiquette from the members at the NCC–Pinelands
Fourth, why the repair centre in JhB is, or wherever the handset has been sent, continually sending the handset back and it is not fixed!
I have been informed that there were many repairs done on the handset but unfortunately the issues that I handed the phone in for has not been sorted out.
Below are some of the issues that are still persistently wrong with the handset
• phone not picking up with computer charging ( This was something new from the last time I collected the phone)
• phone switched off while being used
• Phone still charges when power source is removed
• Thin colour lines came up twice when I switched the phone on
• Phone loses reception when I am on a call
• Phone switches off while I am on a call. (This don’t happen that often anymore)
I am so frustrated with the aftermarket service of Nokia. This is utterly pathetic customer service where no one is interested whether your customer’s needs are met or not. The fact that I have to live with and walk around with a Nokia product that is not of sub-standard quality is not right and it is creating such an inconvenience in my life and then fact that I am still paying my contract for this product that I am not even enjoying anymore is even more frustrating and disappointing.
With all the above said, I informed the members at the NCC-Pinelands that I am not going to return my phone to them again because of the way I fear that I will react when I speak to them. I honestly feel that I will through the handset against the wall or floor which will go against everything that I stand for.
I was also a loyal Nokia user until I got an N97. It is by far the worst phone I have ever had.
I took in about a year ago because I was having so much trouble with it. I got it back with a bill of abot R 480 and a statement that it was moisture damaged which I know was a lie. A year later it’s still working although badly.
I’m nearly at the end of my contract, and definitely my last Nokia!
i’ve experiencing a problem for a few weeks now, all the images and music that were on my phone are now stored on quick office, i dont know how this happened as there no options to do that which is why it is such a problem to get back my photos and music to where they should be. i’ve restored the settings, updated softwares, contacted MTN and Nokia but noone has been able to assist me so far. if you could please please assist me as I cannot go around with a phone that I’m not happy about it’s Nokia E7.
My phone is a nokia E72 eseries cell no. xx. The problem i have is that for the past two weeks it does not receive any emails in my email address. please help?
I bought a Nokia Asha 303 in July and I was robbed on Monday afternoon and would like to know if there is any way of tracking it i.e who uses it now.
The IMEI no is 351969051836188 if that can be of any help. Please I am really desperate.
I’ve been a proud nokia user but have been terribly dissapointed with the product lately. I have a c6 & a c5 but lately both these phones just freeze & reboots itself. While i was trying to go on this site it told me to close some apps yet there was nothing open. With the c5 i cant even delete music from the files neither b/tooth them to another device. I even took it for a software upgrade yet the problems are just getting worse, last week i received an sms with a link but can can not enter these for some reason. I think i need to move on…. Very upset & dissapointed.

Nokia E5 lost all my msgs and stored msgs when connected to PC ? – PLEASE HELP to retrieve the messages – there are some important numbers I need. How can I find them back?
On the 6th of November I took my Nokia E5 for repairs. I was informed my phone would be sent to Nokia for assessment and/or repair. According to the technicians at 121 Cellular of Craighall, the phone would be back in a period of between 10 and 15 working days. It’s been a long time yet I’ve not received any feedback. Can you please advise on what I need to do?
I have a Lumia 900 that i don’t want anymore. I was told it’s the latest and greatest but can’t receive or send a simple MMS, i can’t download pics to my pc. This is not for me, maybe too old for this. I don’t want to go on the internet with the phone. So am prepared to swop for a N91.
Hi there, im having problems with my Nokia N8. When i take a picture it stores as normal into the neccessary folders, however when i want to look at the images the next day all of it appears to be missing. This happends to my videos as well. When connecting the phone to my computer it shows that there are a certain amount of memory taken up but when i browse through, the folders are empty. Please help! Ive been to my service provider stores and the store that i’ve purchased the phone at, yet no one seems to know the problem. Ï am a big Nokia fan and would appreciate if this problem could be sorted. Thank you
I am so pissed off with the service I received from Nokia. I bought an N8 in 2011. Went to the service provider for battery replacement. I was told I must go to Nokia Care Centre. Went to 2 Nokia Care Centre told that the phone was discontinued so there don’t have batteries anymore.
Contacted customer services 0861…. my call was answered by someone in Asian countries, who cannot even understand what i am saying and couldn’t help me at all.
So I ask, what is the use of us (customers) keep on supporting Nokia if Nokia cannot support us when we need help. Why have call centre where people cannot even understand simple English.
Up to this point, I can’t find a place to take my phone to, so that the battery can be replaced. Secondly the phone always tell me about “System Error”
Proud nokia E5 user, only one thing is bothering me. If my mobile has got airtime my battery can last for almost 3 days, but if it has got no airtime my battery can last for only 2 hours. I even contact my network provider and they said they can’t see any problem and referred me to Nokia customer care. Please help me, I’m really confused.
Nokia e5 is the worst phone and Vodacom the worst service provider. I got a nokia e5 on a talk 500 contract from vodacom. With just one year, the phone started to hang. I took it back to vodacom who informed me it was a software problem. Even after the software update the problem presists. Later vodacom told me its the battery issue. After the 3rd time i insisted on a new phone. 1st they told me the unit was repaired ,then that the parts have been replaced then that it was a new unit, but the ‘new unit’ was not in a sealed packing. When i ask about it i was informed that nokia does only supply replacement units without packaging, battery, charger. Now two months later the same problem presists, well done for a new unit. I would strongly advice everybody to stay away from nokia and vodacom as they have the worst customer care and after sales service i have ever encountered.
Hello. I got a message on my C2-02 from nokia saying i have to download a new software update. I tried to do so but i ran out of space so it was cancelled. Now my phone wont work, it just switches on and off. I need to know what i can do to correct this issue.
I have a nokia c6. it started with problems on the software so i took it to mtn to fix. Then soon afterwards it started freezing, screen blacking out and no sound. Since march last year the phone was at mtn they could not fix it and subsequently the phone was sent to nokia. Nokia wanted the original copy of the buying receipt but since the phone was bought on markhams account so there are no paperwork for that accept for the markhams account card. Now nokia REFUSES to honor their warranty on the phone, MTN Refuses to help and I am the fool suffering. Is there NO One Left with honor in our country. I am not a rich guy who can just go around buying phones. I’ve been using nokia since 1994 and been with mtn since my first phone. Today i’m sad to say that i have been a fool for my side of LOYALTY to both NOKIA and MTN. My cell nr is 0837349065.
Good day
I am using Nokia Asha 201 and I can’t login my email address on my PC but on my cellphone I don’t encounter any problems. This only started two days back when I go to option and select seal for people not to have an access into my account but all along it has been operating without problems. Could you reset it for me by your side without losing my emails? I will be glad if you could assist with this matter.
my nokia asha 201with imei no.353276056897845 has deleted some of its folders frm nokia including opera mini, social, i can no longer access internet please help
Hei

I cannot get access to my internet. All I get on attempted access is application error then Error java/lang/Error static initializer java/lang/nullPoionterException. What is the problem? And please supply resolve.
My god… all these poor people, with so many problems with their Nokia products, and all that Nokia Customer Help can reply to is the most difficult issue of all, that the “You’ve won a zillion dollars, if you’re an arsehole enough to believe this, please call this number, blah blah” is actually a scam. How about Nokia tries to address the real issues these people have… I guess they’re just not capable… it must be the coolest thing in the world to be a failure in your endeavours. Congrats, Nokia, for winning the Failure of the Decade award.
Have a near new N920 which wipes out the mail message inbox without warning. Phone was ok for first 3 months. Nokia Century City first did not have a technician available, then did not call me as promised and lastly did not have a clue as to what the problem is aand merely reloaded the same software version. endless waiting there… Problem still persists and I cannot use the phone.
I have 2 Ipones and never a moment’s trouble or this type of rubbish.
LAST Nokia I will ever buy, service is useless too
I have a nokia asha 201 which was purhased at MTN Bredasdorp. As a family we have consistently preferred Nokia as our phone of choice. From the moment I started using this nokia, it has been faulty. I returned to the MTN in Bredasdorp to request a new working phone. Mtn refused. Due to extremely rude and unhelpful MTN staff, I am now seeking a full refund, in accordance with consumer law, so I can go elewhere to purchase a nokia. Can you offer assistance with this matter?
The Nokia Asher is by far the most useless phone I have ever bought. The phone is just a toy now with my 3 year old kid because I couldn’t use it and neither could the incompetent Nokia Shop personnel at Canal Walk in Cape Town help. The phone suddenly barred me from using it because there was apparently no more free memory. I deleted my entire music and all my pictures and i still had no memory on the phone. I also deleted 3/4 of my phone book and i still don’t have memory. My whatsapp has also apparently expired and i tried to upgrade only for the stupid phone to tell me that i had not enough memory. This phone is just pathetic and it seems no one @ Nokia knows what to do with it.
Lumia 920 ongoing problems, now with screen just going grey whilst in a call. Century City Nokia “care” centre has had the phone for weeks, will not replace it, cannot be contacted on their number which either just rings or shows busy. They also do not call back as promised.
I am beyond exasperated as this is my primary business device and Nokia service is beyond the pits. Cannot even get through to their JHB numbers or Head Office number today. Nokia does not deserve to survive with such an appalling performance when they are prepared to happily take my money for an expensive phone
Never buy Nokia again, EVER
I have Nokia Asha 306, it has a built-in Whatsapp, the problem is that I have to upgrade my Whatsapp but I have a problem with Internal Memory, now I can’t upgrade due to shortage of memory, how can I remove this built-in Whatsapp and use the Whatsapp that’s on my external memory?
It has been nearly a month now that my near newLumia 920 has been in for repairs at Nokia (does NOT) Care cape town. No feedback and no support nor loan phone. What does one have to do when a supplier like NOKIA behaves in such an appalling manner – no regard evidently for their customers nor the Consumer Protection Act in South Africa. Do yourself a favour: do not buy NOKIA, if something goes wrong you will regret it if my experience is anything to go by…
Helo Nokia.
I have a problem. I have a nokia x3-00, i can’t unlock my unlock code on my phone. When i dail my unlock code, it says error…. What should i do to unlock my phone. It my phone, and i got everything to proove it my phone. And if you need a proof, i do got a proof. Please help me unlock my security code on my x3-00. How do i get help?
I’m using Lumia 520, and it cant support whatsapp. What must I do? It says that this app is not available for your device. This might be because your phone software needs to be updated. But my phone doesn’t update.
Hi,
I’m using a Nokia C3. When I insert either Vodacom or MTN simcard it tells me that simcard registration failed and I don’t know why is that so and me IMEI code is 3532265051170613.
I have an ovi mail account that I created while I was still using Nokia C3 so now I changed phones and I wan to continue using the same email. The problem is now on my new phone I have to validate my account which it’s hard as I forgot my password, I’ve tried several times to reset it but I’m receiving a link to reset my password. I want to know why and how can I reset my password because the other method failed to help me? Please help me out I don’t want to loose this account.
The NOKIA brand has always been my preferred choice of cellphone for me and my children since I purchased a 3310 many years ago followed by a 3330, 5210, 6210, 3610, 1100, 2300, N70, etc, etc…
However my perception of the NOKIA products was totally compromised when I recently purchased a NOKIA Asha 210 on contract at Nashua Mobile, later transferred to Vodacom.
I have had problems with my NOKIA Asha 210 from the start. About once a month the phone indicates that I have run out of memory space, with the result that I cannot receive SMS’s and cannot send any messages on whatsapp, even though I only have a very few apps loaded on the phone, Only a few pictures, and about 10 sms’s saved at any one time. Everytime I take the phone to Vodacom, then I am told to upgrade the software… And each time it costs me R140-00. This problem has deterred me from continuing to use the NOKIA brand or from recommending it to anyone else.
Pls let me know how I can have this phone replaced with a new one. I am truly disappointed.
