Garnering over 65 million users worldwide, Choice Privileges offers myriad ways to earn as well as redeem points for gift cards, free nights, room upgrades, and other benefits. So, if you are an existing Choice Privileges member and your recent stay has not been credited to your account, then our step-by-step guide can help you claim your missing points.

How to Claim Your Missing Points Online

According to Choice Privileges, members in the United States and Canada should allow 72 hours from the checkout date for the rewards points (related to the stay) to get credited to their accounts. Members staying in Europe, Central America, Mexico, the Middle East, Australasia (Australia and Asia), and the Caribbean should allow at least 20 days for the reward points to be posted in their accounts.

If your reward points have not been posted to your account even after the lapse of the aforementioned timelines, it is recommended to report a missing stay by simply following the below-mentioned steps judiciously.

  1. First, you need to head over to the official website here.
  2. On the landing page, proceed to click on the “Sign In or Join” button and then log in with your registered username and password.
  3. After logging in, click on the “Report Missing Stay” option present on the navigation panel on the right side of your screen.
  4. In the next step, you will need to fill out the requisite form by providing the required information, such as your name, email address, phone number, hotel name, hotel confirmation number, check-in and check-out times, etc.
  5. Once completed, proceed to submit the form and wait for a follow-up response from customer care. If your request is approved, then the reward points related to your missing stay will be reinstated to your account.

If you require further assistance regarding your missing stay or reward points, then you can get in touch with Choice Privileges customer support via phone at 1-888-770-6800. Phone lines are available 24 hours a day.

Overview of the Program

Choice Privileges is an award-winning loyalty program, courtesy of Choice Hotels International, which is one of the world’s largest hotel chains. Members who are enrolled in the program are destined to earn 10 reward points for every $1 they spend on hotels, beginning with their first stay. Members can also earn points by shopping with Choice Hotel partners, booking flights, or renting cars. The earned points usually have a lifetime validity; however, one eligible activity must be completed every 18 months to prevent the points from expiring.

Once you have accumulated sufficient reward points, the same can be redeemed for free nights at any Choice Hotel property, including brands such as Cambria Suites, Clarion, Sleep Inn, and Quality Inn. Additionally, you also get access to exclusive membership perks, such as discounts on bookings, free WiFi during your stay, early check-in and late check-out facilities, and much more. Also, booking more stays and earning more points will promote your membership status to the “Elite” tier, giving you more advantages such as bonus points and access to exclusive lounges.

Presently, there are four membership tiers, namely: Member, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. To learn about each tier in detail, be sure to go through the following list closely.

Member: Unlocked after enrollment, the member tier status can enjoy exclusive member discounts on bookings, points for hotel stays, the ability to redeem points for extra nights, a mobile check-in facility, points for dining, rental car discounts, entertainment discounts, and more.

Gold: The gold tier combines the benefits of the member tier along with additional advantages once you book 10 or more stays within a year. The benefits include 10 per cent bonus points, reserved parking, welcome gifts, the ability to roll over up to 9 extra nights (for the subsequent year), priority customer support, and early check-in and check-out facilities.

Platinum: Unlocked once you book 20 nights or more in a year, the platinum tier offers 25 per cent bonus points and the ability to roll over up to 19 extra nights, along with all the benefits the gold tier receives.

Diamond: Lastly, the diamond tier is unlocked when you book 40 nights in a year or more. This tier combines the benefits of all the previous tiers, along with 50 per cent bonus points and the ability to roll over up to 39 extra nights. Additionally, you also get to enjoy guaranteed room availability and complimentary breakfast for two people.

Note that if you are an active military member or a veteran, then you can also enjoy exclusive rates on your travels along with a lifetime gold-tier elite status and a credit of 2,500 points after your first stay. And government and military travelers are also eligible to enjoy discounts on official business travel.
