The after sale service is hopeless. It is so difficult to get information from Lenovo. It’s been already one month and I am still looking for a replacement battery for my Y580. Nobody is able to provide any assistance on how to get a replacement.
Hopeless and useless service!
This morning about 11am (January 29) I went to Lenovo @ Mid Valley with intention to purchase the Miix 510 Tablet. I asked the sales person a short and simple question “does the keyboard need to charge separately” and the Salesman kept saying it is detachable from the tablet. I repeated my question again as I thought he did not hear me correctly the first time. He replied the same thing again. Knowing I was annoyed the branch manager came over and answered my question satisfactorily. I just walk off and they lost a RM3500 deal. The manager defended the Salesman saying he is new. There’s no excuse. Basic training teach any new employee if they do not know the answer please seek help immediately. This is clearly the fault of Lenovo

I am an Expat in KL basically from India. Recently I bought an Ideapad 310 (14 Inch) from Low-Yat Plaza From a Lenovo Showroom. The day I took it home I found out that the speaker were broken and made a crunching sound on use. I immediately went to the shop the next day and told them about the issue. They got convinced and as promised replaced and gave a new Lappy to me.Now, when I took this new Lappy home after 4-5 days I found the same problem again. Irritated, I took it back again to the shop. The Shopkeeper got convinced again that the Speakers were genuinely broken. However, he said this time around they won’t exchange the Lappy as it is Lenovo’s Policy they only replace once..What the hell?? Only replace once, so You can give me a piece of shit the very next time. I am utterly disappointed from Lenovo. Had the worst experience with this lappy. Also, their is no prominent way to contact their support or register a complaint against them. I am feeling cheated.

I m so surprised that there are only 3 complaints about Lenovo published here. I would never ever buy a Lenovo product again after the bitter experiences with the Lenovo Idea pad Y410P I bought 2 years and 2 months ago in April 2014. This laptop has been sent to the appointed service centre at Menara Berjaya KL which is 22km away from my house, at least 6 trips there within the 2 year warranty period. The laptop had been given New LCD and HDD twice and don’t know what else they repaired and replaced because there were not written clearly in their service reports. Anyway I didn’t care much as long as my laptop was working again.
In June 2016, abt 2 months after the 2 year warranty expired, the Lenovo laptop just suddenly died on me upon switching on. So I made my 7th trip to Lenovo service centre Menara Berjaya Jln Imbi. I agreed to let them to diagnose the laptop at RM85.65 for service rendered. Few days later I received an email from them telling me the mother board need to be replaced at RM4820.88 (total cost including GST) … I paid RM2999 in April 2014 for this stupid machine. I can’t think of another more appropriate vocabulary for shocking.
Today 18 JULY 2016 I made my 8th trip there to collect my dead Lenovo carcass after paying RM85.65.
I have been using laptops for study and work since the 90s … I have used and/owned Twin head, Acer,Dell,Apple, Sony Vaio,HP. None of these laptops have been sent to their service centres and lasted only 2 months after warranty expired.
I thought I was bad luck with Lenovo … but after I listened to some owners’ more unfortunate encounters with their Lenovo machine at the service centre. I feel more lucky than them. I will never ever even look at a Lenovo. RUN
In my opinion, LENOVO is not a good machine and I won’t buy or recommend it to anyone because unfortunately I bought Lenovo G570 and found out that it really sucks. Just to let the computer users know that I bought a new machine from USA because I had to visit my family in Thailand. I might have used this machine for 100 hours at the most to test it and one day after use I repacked the machine in the bag to give it to my wife as a present. I came to Thailand around 2 years ago and when I opened it to give it to her, it satrated with an unstoppable beeping noise and a lot of pluses+ in search boxes of windows and internet and of course other stuff too. I updated BIOS, Drivers, formated the hard drive and installed all programs from scrach myself because I did not want techinicians to mishandle my machine but it did not work. I tried to get help on internet and other sources but it failed too.
Definitely I will scrap this machine after paying a visit to the Technician. I may get it fixed because I think Malaysian are comparatively better. Since I am in Thailand therefore, it is kinda hard for me to get it repaired because people dont speak English at all. To get it repaired, I need to come to a technician to Malaysia or Singpore. I would request the buyers to think many times before buying LENOVO.
I bought a Laptop for my chlidren last year on the 28th augst 2011.They used hardly for a short period. The computer gives some problem and i send it to the service center of LENOVO at LOW YAT PLAZA bukit bintang Kuala Lumpur. They took hardly 1 month to solve it. After that i had the same problem again. Lenovo should engage a qualified person over there to provide a proper assistance to customers. My laptop model G475 . S/N CB09055033. my hp 016 – 2150920. Hope to get a good response to maintain the lenovo brand product.
i tried to call service centre but no reply. My thinkpad e120 bought in july 2011 during pc fair at pwtc shows problem with software and hardware and needs immediate support.
