With a total subscriber base of 49 million users, Telenor is the go-to brand for most Pakistani residents for experiencing the best telecommunication services. Founded in 2004, the company is acclaimed as the second-largest player in the country for providing digital and cellular services.
Currently headquartered in Islamabad, Telenor offers a variety of products and services ranging from fixed-line broadband, digital TV, mobile voice and data, including 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G services, to different types of mobile financial services, and more. And with a market share of roughly 26 per cent, the company is constantly innovating to stay competitive in its relevant industry.
It should be known that Telenor has a network coverage of more than 12000 cell sites, which covers around 80 per cent of the total population residing in Pakistan. It was also the first telecom service provider to start providing 5G technology in the country. However, even with its robust infrastructure, Telenor has its fair share of complaints and grievances from its customer base.
Reports from various customer groups have suggested that there has been a significant drop in signals in most of the rural areas. Customers face frequent call drops and experience slow speeds on the internet, especially during peak hours. Also, their customer service has been categorised as slow and unresponsive, making it difficult for the users to get their grievances redressed on time. Recently, the company was fined by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) to pay a penalty of 10 million Pakistani rupees due to their failure to settle customer complaints on a timely basis.
Having said that, if you are experiencing similar kinds of problems as the ones stated above, then a network alteration is what you need to overcome any difficulties. Such is the reason why we have created a proper step-by-step guide that you need to follow so that you can ultimately sever your relationship with Telenor.
Know the Cancellation Terms For Telenor
Telenor allows its users to deactivate their mobile services as per their needs and preferences, either by simply contacting the customer care section or visiting a nearby Telenor franchise store. According to the cancellation policy of Telenor, if you proceed to cancel your mobile service within seven days of activation, you will not be required to pay any kind of cancellation fee to Telenor. However, if you fail to do the same within seven days of activation, then it will become mandatory for you to pay a certain amount of a cancellation fee.
If you are subscribed to a prepaid service, you need to first ensure that your account balance is zero before opting for a cancellation. On the other hand, if you are a postpaid service user, then you are required to pay your final amount before your cancellation request can be taken into account. Similarly, if you have undertaken any type of active subscription, such as a data bundle, a ringtone, or a voicemail subscription, then you must ensure that you first cancel them separately before booking a cancellation request with Telenor.
